You should do that 365 days/year. No need to celebrate a Hallmark biased, overrated Feb 14th. Valentines day has lost it's original meaning and therefor lost my support. Share your feelings with your loved ones every day, not just this day. If you truly love some-one, every God given day is a Valentines day.

Could you please come and explain that to my hubby?
PS... can I get a present every day then too? cuz I'm lucky if I get one at Christmas, Birthday, V-Day, or Anniversary and sometimes I'm lucky if he even remembers that I live in the same house
PSS: I'd even take a dandelion bouquet (yep I don't mind weeds -they spread their love  )

he bought a digital camera a few weeks ago and goes
"Why should we go out for dinner? I just spent $600 on your camera!!"
GRRRR!!! I woulda settled for a $100 camera....... *sigh* boys n their toys...

I agree 100% with Allstar...I dont Do Valentines Day I love and show my Girl Everyday. (pic's in my photo gallery)..Hallmark makes nothing off of me....

In fact, if I never said it, thanks be to all that were there for me during my recent troubles!

Seriously man, THANK you! I've not lost the war, just this battle!
For the record, I happen to agree with most of you about the 365 days a year, but sometimes, a store-bought bauble, card, flower, many flowers, or even breakfast in bed is a nice way to show that special someone you love that they are indeed special.

I agree with ya, Matt! That's why I DO celebrate the Holidays .... 'cause I think its really important to let that special person know you think the world of 'em ... and went outta your way ... to do a "special" something. I KNOW, it can be any day of the week, month or year.... and I don't always "wait" for the "special" days.... but I am glad that there are "special" days... 'cause I think its fun ~~ and for me... some of the fun is going with the "theme".
And ya know.... many people say ... "don't bother with holidays" ... but if ya do ... even THEY smile at being "special". We all like that extra little "love ya" ~~ or "special gesture". _________________ [shadow=tomato] If you want your significant other to pay attention to EVERY word you say::
