I pointed a person on the PCDJ Facebook group to Karaoke File Manager because in my opinion for manipulating filenames and unzipping MP3+G files Karaoke File Manager is second to none and as far as I am concerned has always been top notch.

Never heard of it. I tried to Google it, but all that comes up is KJ File Manager. If it's better than KJ File Manager, then you have one very curious software engineer who's ready to see what's the secret sauce in this new rival.

Karaoke File Manager is actually a more fitting name, but there's a reason it was named KJ File Manager. Back in 2005, it was initially called "MP3+G Zip Manager" and the term "KJ" (which I liked) was still relatively new, and lots of people were still saying "Karaoke DJ" instead. Ironically, Karaosoft was all about the shift away from Discs, so the even the "D" in DJ looked out of date to me. I figured if this app took off, it could certainly help give credit to the term "KJ" if we used it in the name of the app. I was also under pressure to change the original app name because we were seeing a shift from zipped to unzipped files, so it's initial name was starting to look out of place. I don't know if the new app name helped, but I haven't heard the term "Karaoke DJ" in a while.

And that's what I thought he was referring to also.

No need for a name change just because Danny made a mistake. The name is fine just the way it is.

The change to Karaoke File Manager might confuse people with PCDJ's Karaoke File Fixer which I consider inferior to your software. I made sure at least the link that I gave them went to your site.
