need some advice on what could be a life changing decision.

I've suspected for some time that my wife has been having an affair. The usual signs. Phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She started going out "with the girls" a lot recently although when I ask which girls, it's always "just some friends from work, you don't know them".

I always look for her ride coming home but she always walks from around the corner, I can usually hear a car driving off as she walks toward the house. If it really is a taxi why not just get dropped off in front?
I once picked up her cell phone just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again, and why I was checking up on her.

Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her. I decided I was going to hide behind my dj gear that is stacked up by the garage window which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she was getting out of. It was while I was kneeling beside my speakers that I noticed a frayed connection on one of my 1/4 jacks.

Here is my big problem should I take the speakers back to the dealer for replacement or should I just take the opprtunity to buy the POWERED MACKIES that I have always wanted?
It's a big decision so I thought I would ask for your advice. Maybe I'll just try and repair the damage? I am very stressed about this . Please help.

Fasman, when more than one person knows a secret, it’s not a secret anymore. The life of this secret is likely measured in days or even hours. You told somebody, and your wife’s probably told somebody. Concealing this secret made you write us. Who knows how many somebodies now know this secret.

Sigmund Freud said, “Secrets make you sick.” It is probably the wisest thing he ever said. Soon somebody, for whatever reason, will let this secret out. They may tell to feel moral, to replace your speakers, or to kill your wife. They may tell because keeping this secret makes them sick.

All Star, I think you're having a blonde moment. It's an old joke, you missed the last paragraph or read it wrong.

[takes off STTW hat and puts on Lisa Diamond Fire hat]

Respecting that beautiful sound is in the ear of the beholder and having heard a number of great speakers..........

We have SRM 450s (since 1999) and we adore them. Our singers adore them. Bar staff adore them (because they don't get blasted the way they do with "long-throw" speakers).

Can't say the same for the Mackie Subs. We had two for a while but traded them in. The Subs didn't match the quality of the 450s in our humble opinion.

Ours is partnered with a Mackie VLZ PRO desk. Do try them out with your desk.

If everything was destroyed or stolen tomorrow, we'd buy the same set-up by the end of the day.

Our competitors initially laughed at our "plastic" speakers. Our local DJ/KJ shop laughed and said he'd never heard of them 4 years ago.

Now the shop-owner has them in pride of place. One or two competitors have bought a pair.

Go listen with your ears, you've got to pay for them.......... but do take your credit card......they're calling you.
