Post subject: | Converting karaoke DVDs to DivX - any suggestions? |
I've been trying to compile my entire collection of CD+Gs, VCDs, and DVDs into DivX files. So far, I've got the CD+G and VCD conversion down pat, but I'm still searching for an effective way to batch convert a DVD with multiple karaoke tracks. I tried using a program called DVDx, which was easy to use and did conversions in one step, but it couldn't do any batch processing and, more importantly, the files I wound up with were too loud and had distorted bass, and I couldn't find anywhere within the program to normalize the sound. Any suggestions for quick and painless conversions? I used Audiograbber and VirtualDub for batch CD+G conversions and I use ISOBuster and VirtualDub for batch VCD conversions. Thanks! |

Dr. Divx is the best program for batch converting to DivX Format. |

You'll have to decrypt and decode the DVD's and then you can use the divx codec for encoding them. I use IM Too for decoding/decrypting and if you install Dr. Divx it will even encode on the fly. Typical times for a 2 hour movie varies with the processor, harddrive, and DVD rom speed, but typically 2-4 hours. Karaoke DVD's will be faster because they're much shorter. |

Awesome. IMToo was EXACTLY what I was looking for. |
