I converted a song that was 2:43 to mp3 file using dbpoweramp (LAME). I did not alter the default that the converter gave me. I was not sure what to do. It is converted in a stereo file, Bit rate was 192, 44100 khz, better quality. When submitting my song, my screen went to a white screen and at the bottom of the page it said done. I clicked the back button. It said that the submission quota was full and I should download tomorrow or upgrade. I clicked on the "latest submissions" and found my sub but no title for the song. I clicked on my name and found that I could add the name to the song but when I clicked to listen to it to see how the song came out, it only played a few seconds of the song and quit after giving it time to completely load in the window I had for the song. Please tell me what to do to fix this. I really would like to have a chance to load some of my songs to this site. This seems like a lot of fun if I ever get it figured out. Thank you for your help!
Mike

time limit's not the factor, but SIZE.

reencode to a smaller kbps, such as 90kbps, and mono, rather than stereo.

If your encoder won't do it, get goldwave. It's freeware, and easy to batch convert mp3s... just save the file as a different name!

Thank you! I will try that. I am not sure how to change to a smaller kbps but I will certainly search it out and if I cant do it with the program I have I will download goldwave.

There is a green slider . If you slide to the left you will lower the bit rate. Do not change the freq; and like knight say, you may want to go mono. Check the size of your mp3 file by just pointing the cursor at it (dB can read the Id tag)

Thank you! I will go back and try all of the things you suggest during my lunch break. I am getting a minute between classes to check the forum for ideas. Life is tough for a teacher! :)

or you can open the goldwave and select "batch convert"...

Thanks! I sent you a message, you might not have gotten it. I will try again. Now I am getting a message that says that I have used my limit for the day when I try to post a sub. I have only posted the one I put on last night. I thought I should be able to post at least 5 per day. I hate to be such a pain about this, but I think this could be a lot of fun if I ever get things working right. Your help is appreciated!--Mike

PM the webguru, and explain your problem regarding the download limitation. It all depends on your level of subscription.
