Hi everyone, I usually like to figure stuff out for myself but there are a lot of experts out there so I decided to save myself some of the frustration. First of all, I'm using Adobe Audition 1.0 I'm trying to do a duet with someone and I've got their file in multi-track 1, when I record my vocal in track 2 something happens and parts of my vocal are in time with the other persons but then other parts it's like I was off to the races. How can I match them up? without having to manually select each section that is off time-wise and stretching it until I get it to match? I'm using a Sound Card USB Blaster if that makes any difference, along with headphones. I'd guess that there is some delay between my pc playing the track and my hearing so that is why I'm faster in spots? I thought someone else had asked this awhile back but I've searched and can't find it. HELLLPPPP please? Matt? AllStar? Anyone? Tell this dumb girl what she's doing wrong... |

The only thing that I would recommend would be to save the initial song as a standard mp3 WITH the other vocalist... THEN try to redo it with your vocal being the "next track"... Could be your system resources are getting in the way trying to handle too much cached memory. |

I think I might have found something..... There's a setting for Multi-track latency in the Device Properties of Audition. The book says that if they are out of sync to try messin with this setting, thru trial and error should come up with right setting..... Awww...goot.... I really like this song but I'm probably gonna end up hating it yet if I gotta re-record it a zillion more times ! If anyone else has any ideas let me know or if they can confirm I'm in the direction.... THX.... |

I may have come up with a work around. I'll burn the original file with it's vocals (that don't include mine yet) onto a CDRW and then put that in my karaoke machine and go from there... We'll see what happens... Dumb thing.... Dumb dumb thing.. After reading some places on the Net it looks like it could be my $40 sound card causing the dumb problem... |
