HI, I have a JVC triple karaoke cdg player, and I 've noticed with thebnewer cdgs . it doesn't seem to read it. the music will play but no words. why

Are you sure it's a 'cdg' and not just a 'karaoke' instrumental disc? Which disc is it. Snap a pic of the cd cover and disc itself and post.
I still get discs today and have no issues on my JVC machines
