I know this has been brought up before in various ways but:

So kids, maybe we should make a list of names of those who want super honest ratings and critiques,

AND THERE IS NO GOING BACK ON THIS LIST, if you decide after a little criticism that you just dont like it, you can request to have your name removed from the list that can be pinned in the forum-

Some of us LOVE our fluff, and some of us HATE it, and some of us DONT CARE;

But for the number of us subbers that are trying to IMPROVE our techniques in vocals or recording or WHATEVER, fluff is beautiful and nice, but it wont help us get better!

so here's my name......

HEATHER DAVIS
I SWEAR ON MY HONOR AS A MEMBER OF SINGERS SHOWCASE THAT I WANT TO PARTAKE IN AN HONEST COMMENTING SYSTEM, AND WILL NOT BEGRUDGE OTHER MEMBERS THEIR OPINION OF MY WORK, BUT I WILL WELCOME AND UTILIZE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM TO FURTHER IMPROVE MY OWN SUBMISSION QUALITY.

Heh heh- all legal wordy like. :)

It dosen't take long for you ladies to drift off subject now does it. :wink:

You realize to realy give constructive critique on a song it would be helpfull to know a little about your recording equipment. :? (and Crystal I said RECORDING equipment)

I'll take honest comments, so I guess I'll swear to not flip out and go postal on anyone. :shock:

[OFF TOPIC]
O M G!

:lol: 8) :roll: :twisted: :?

WHAT!

-----
I am working on a feature for the submit page that is very similar to the TOPIC at hand. It will be a Critique check box. When you submit you song you check the box stating that you want to be critiqued. Then everyone can tell you what is really wrong with that song and how you may be able to fix it! :wink:

:: MY OATH ::
I, webguru, solemnly swear to allow all honest critiques, ranks, and comments in the Singer's Showcase, as long as they are within reason, not totally offensive, and do not cause "Flame Wars". I will accept the things I cannot change, stress over what I need to fix and do my damnedest to improve this site to the best of my ability and remove any inappropriate posts/comments in the forums or SS!

"**insert some intelligent remark here**"

PHILL 8) :twisted:

Ok my equipment is as follows: Audix OM-5 Mic., Roland VS 840 EX Digital Work Station , I record the music to 2 of the stereo tracks then use Headphones and a Mic to record the vocals. I can then mix, add effects and record it to CD from there I use my computer to change the cd to MP3 file that will be less than 3mb and send it on down the line. :wink:

Crystal I can't believe you sound that good with a throw away Mic., or maybe it hiding what you really sound like, an 800lb. Gorilla perhaps. :roll:

I dont HAVE a mic.. and i AM an 800 lb gorilla!! (but, serisouly, i don't own a microphone;)

yeah, now where is my prize?

Oh, back to topic.. yeah, like I of all people would EVEr go off topic!

I do NOT want honest critiques... I don't want a critique at all. I know where ALL of my errors are (no, i am not pretending to be awesome, and full of myself, I am just cuper critical of myself already, and don't need OTHERS to be:) I want you all to throw fluff at me, until I look like skylah's bedroom (that makes no sense to you, until you realize that skylah tore a hole in her mattress this morning, and ripped all of the fluffy stuff out of the inside and covered her room with it. "Mommy, it's snowing")

But, I DO welcome help and advice with my recordings... because, my voice "ain't" gonna change:)

Ok, I am down babbling.

Well, for now.

Hey all,

I don't really post here a lot...though I thought I'd set my head down on the table so you could kick it around a bit. It seems to me that rather than have a list of people who want to be critiqued, it would be easier to simply add a "Critique Me Please" category to the list.

See, I don't frequent the forums much, and it seems that a lot of people don't. So even if you put a list here, those who don't drop in will never see it and continue to post fluff comments.

Just my two cents

:) sMiLe :)
