What's cool is I have a sneaky suspicion that there's a lotta folks like you two, more than you guys or I even realized before. Therefore, we don't need body armor; we gots each other. And truth, of course. Stronger than armor.

Yeah, don't worry Ardis, dear... ;) LOTS of us out here. heheh

I seem to be the resident 'champion' of late, so I'm the most vocal... but I get LOTS of feedback 'behind the scenes' and trust me... in the words of Fox Moulder, "We Are Not Alone" *insert x-files theme here* ;)

I was kinda surprised to read this... I know I am "out of the loop" as always.... but are you saying that there are "LOTS" of people behind the scenes here afraid to speak up? Like how many? Can ya give an approx number? Is "LOTS" 5? 10? 20? This is sounding like some mysterious underground movement!

LOL!!! I LOVE that Sherlock Holmes smilie!!!

Lots of people who share feelings with those of us 'critiquers', but are not quite ready to speak up themselves. That's ok though, I can understand their position. If I weren't such a social misfit in the first place, I would probably be much more cautious when voicing my opinions. ;)

MM and Sheree, hmm I think what I meant is people that persist in voicing opinions about SS that get people all riled up 'n' mad at 'em; which can also include people who seem on the verge of doing so. People who can't resist going against the grain and risking an unpopular opinion. That's what I meant about the "us" in lots more of "us" than I thought. (Honestly not wanting to start anything here since I'm getting along with most everyone for once....!)

tigger... I wasn't tryin' to stir anything here... I truly wondered about this. All we know is what we read here.. and anybody can claim anything! I think the people that go "against the grain" are now the majority here... if there are indeed 10 people (those are the ones "afraid" to speak up.. and have elected syber to talk for them) and we are already very aware of the the one's who are not afraid! So it seems that it is becoming the "popular" rather than "unpopular" opinion here. Seems if there ever was a division here... it is now becoming clearer and more defined by that statement... where there is an "US" there is a "them". Of course the ones who are here "for fun" are gonna find a more peaceful atmosphere as that is the whole idea behind what they desire... to have a place for relaxation and fun. I also understand quite clearly that there are people who take this very seriously... the question I guess is... can they coexist peacefully. I asked the question because ... I truly AM a person "out of the loop"... I do not chat with people behind the scenes very often... aside from two close friends here.... most of my communication is here in the forum (and other forums) or an occasional pm... not much more.

~PEACE~

I think so... the differing 'camps' (and those inbetween) just have to try and respect each other's desires.

I certainly don't think any less of a person for submitting 'just for fun' songs, I have done it myself and probably will in the future.. although I prefer feedback on most of my submissions.

The only trouble arrises, when someone decides to start a gang-war because something happened they were unhappy about, rather than shrugging it off and handling the situation like an adult.

Most folks on here, have shown that they are more than capable of giving and accepting feedback, and even dealing with the occasional nasty person without having an aneurism. The more people we have who are like that, the more 'peaceful' this group will remain.

Certainly not pointing any fingers at you, Sher, btw. ;)
