I did my last karaoke gig about 9 months ago, only done 6 in the last 3 years.
I am happily retired and want to drink my way through other countries as a retirement passtime.
I have a karaoke collection, mainly sunfly, some zoom, SC and some others.
I have friends in Australia who love karaoke and have quite a few tracks on various media.
I would like to give my collection to them but don't want to give them stuff they would never use or have anyway. They don't do it commercially.
Does anyone know if there is a reasonable compatibility between the YUK and down under?
A concern is also shipping costs.
Having shipped to America, I already know what it is like to be fleeced.
It would be a surprise so I can't really ask their advice.
Thanks in advance.
If your collection is on CD+G then they will work fine in Australia, DVDs should also be OK as Sunfly and Zoom DVDs are region-free.
For shipping, it's worth looking at parcel brokers such as parcel2go.com or interparcel.com to get a price that is often cheaper than using the Post Office.
