Hello, I bought a set of these QSC HPR152i speakers several years ago for my home karaoke setup. My living room isn't that big, maybe 15ft x 25ft, so I'm wondering if these speakers are just way too big for such a room? If not, what's the best placements for these speakers and should they be placed on the floor or on a stand? These speakers are ~100lbs each Thanks! http://www.guitarcenter.com/QSC/HPR152i ... 4490368.gc |

Not too big IMO and a really nice speaker - may have been overkill to get the HPR series (pretty spendy) - that's like in the top of the line of the QSC lines - and being all wood, is where the weight comes in - but will be great sounding, nice and warm. On the floor is fine, put them in front of you pointing at you a little angled up like a floor monitor would. Ideally in club situations you'd put them on poles about 6-8' high, but that is to get over the crowd, in a living room you aren't going to have tons of obstructions. |
