I need some assistance. I heard of a few bars doing karaoke bingo. I would like to find out how that works or find other karaoke games to try out. Anyone have any ideas? I am trying to beef up the new venue I am at and of course it is in a far away location so we need a few good ideas. |

When we did karaoke bingo at the Thunderbird, I would create game sheets & call cards relating to the bar or musically themed. I would print 2 cards per sheet so everyone would get 2 cards - no more. The bar would kick in $20 & I would do a draw every 15 minutes. If anyone bingo'd that night, they would receive the $20, otherwise it would grow another $20 the next BINGO night. Bingomaker sells the program in which you can make your own cards really easy - you type in 75 different words or phrases & it will do the rest, or you can try & do it manually, but that becomes very tedious especially when you are printing multiple cards. |

there is also a cdg available, or used to be, that has the Bingo numbers on it so they can be displayed on the TV screens... you could even put it on random play and let the cd draw the nymbers... good luck- tig |

It went over great at my College age crowd shows, packed house every game night & they were having a great time. Sorry your crowds can't enjoy something a little different. |

No we have crowds that like to have fun with games. Especially if it doesn't get won for a while & the pot grows to a couple hundred bucks. |

So from what I am gathering from the info is that it is kinda like normal bingo but using random numbers or phrases and the bar just creates a pot and if not won it continues to grow? Does anyone know who might have that karaoke bingo cdg? Also does anyone know where I can get info on any other karaoke games and how to do them? Thanks |

Hi Darkmessenger5.... This topic was part of another thread .... and I posted there... but am gonna repost the same thing here. This has always been a HUGE crowd pleaser .... SENIORS, COLLEGE, (heck, I bet they'd even like it in California.... ) ... Anyway..... it's been tried and proven positive. If you wanna give it a shot... feel free. TAKEN FROM ANOTHER THREAD Quote: one thing we do every once in a while is a "sing to win"... its really fun and the singers get a kick out of it. We just have a roll of tickets & everytime a singer sings, they get a ticket... At the top of each hour we pull a number from the jar on the desk, and the person with that # wins something. We use it for special occasion nights and its actually alot of fun if not overdone. The prizes are just fun little "trickets".. but the build up is a hoot!
For instance... we'll announce that the next "sing to win" winner will get to take home a new musical instrument .... or ..... one of the blondes in the room.... . Of course, what they win is a little Kazoo or a barbie-doll-type doll with blond hair----> but the build up is alot of fun and the singers (YOUNG & OLD) just LOVE it when we do this! Again... don't over do it.... but every once in a while it can be fun. Good luck with your show. |

Post subject: | Thank You |
I want to thank all that replied. I did find the other thread that was mentioned. I am very appreciative of any and all ideas to help boost business at The Olde Shipwreck. They have been dying for a while and I am hoping to bring them back to life. Once again thanks to all of you. |
