The song is a duet originally, there was no just Seether version only.
I do not believe any many made the male only version where the female part is recorded, but Karaoke Version has the custom version. It would be easy enough to buy the karaoke version and custom version version. Take out male lead, leave in female lead and save. Replace the original mp3 for the karaoke version with the new mp3 from the custom version and walla.

It came off the Disclaimer Album in 2002.

It's not the popular version (With Amy Lee) but I believe it IS the original version of the song.

*Edit: Release date for the Seether/Amy Lee Version was 2009

The one I use is the duet but no female vocal... There are tricks to singing the female part that require a little research into female vocal emulation to pull off. Don't go for pitch, go for inflection and melody within words as female vocals are like a roller coaster. Male vocals always drop at the end of words or sentences. I'm a baratone (whitesnake, Billy Idol) and it sounds fine. Take the song as YOUR OWN. I'll double check which version I'm using tonight.
I do vaguely remember an older version without Amy's part but it might have been a homemade.
The fun part about singing the girl parts, is that you can do something most male singers do not do......FLY!!. Flying is a blast even an octave lower. Try singing SU-Metal in a male range....    weeeeeee! It's a blast!

Edit: Here are two awesome car sing tracks to get a better feel of how to do the female thing and adapt it to your male singing tools.
Toyah’s ‘Elocution Lesson’
And believe it or not, Hale Storm "Rock Show" Why it gets requested I have no Idea as I'm a Baritone. These are IMO the best essentials. From there you open up a ton of great songs that you can sing as a very clear male but were done by females and people actually love it. It also sends a signal to the ladies that it's ok for them to come up and do Journey, Zeppelin, Queensryche etc etc etc. I do offer to let any female come up when I do Broken but so far only one ever has.

AND...the Seether ONLY version, that you say does not exist, was released in 2002...you forgot that part.....

After listening to them, the 2002 version is more reminiscent of the MTV Unplugged-style, and the the 2004 version is full-blown band/orchestra, it seems...

This would be close to what he is looking for, I guess:

Didn't forget anything. I looked it up after I posted. I can see why it's not the popular version. Was responding to his 2009 release date

Popular is relative, especially in this case...

ALSO, after listening, one is slightly lower than the other, which can be rectified electronically, I am sure, but anyway...

You got a lot of playroom in that song to work with.

There are duet versions out there where there are no vocals on the track. There is a version of the song with the female vocals on the Gem series if that is what you're looking for.

I have SIN04Fall track 8 as Seether "Broken" as labeled on my disk, but it's the duet when you play it. I double checked by playing the original disk as well. Sorry. Guess I'll filter that one out :(
I also had MM6424 available on an unused buyout drive, it's the duet as well but not marked as such and no duet notice on the title page.
The MM6424 track 12 looks like it was intended to be sung both ways as the colors are right for a duet. KJpro reported it only as Seether as well. Interesting actually as the MM sounds and looks better than the SIN.

I use the THM version THP0410-13
Sorry, I thought you were gonna sing it..my bad
