Phill,
On "Baby one more time" you chose no comment and no ranking. Even so there was still a submit button. I pressed it and you have now an empty comment from me.

on the SS page.... it still says you have 3 comments.....
maybe instead of making a "0" you can put an "X" or something for "no comments"

One quick question.......
with the optoins,
If you want to have your song ranked, which still allows comments, what happens if you choose no comments, the next option?
Will you still get ranked, or will having no comments cancel it out?
Rank Submission? Yes No (still allows comments)
Allow Comments? Yes No
Ie what would happen if I said yes to rank, and no to comments?

Rank Submission? Yes No (still allows comments)
Allow Comments? Yes No
No rank = NO rank
No comments = NO comments
Regardless!
I suppose I could work in a script to fix that.
And I suppose I should change it so if you select "Just for Fun" you can't get a rank & if you select rank you can't choose "Just for Fun"
Hmmm how to code that?
Anyone?

Phill hon you're workin just too danged hard!
Gawd I HOPE we're intelligent enough to understand the basic ideas behind all these changes... Is it really necessary to pick apart every single rating, star, rank button, no rank button, fluff, no fluff, and on and on and on!
I think you're creating too much work for yourself here hon....just put the necessary buttons in - YES RANK, NO RANK, YES COMMENT, NO COMMENT..and then if you really wanna, put the necessary info about these buttons in the FAQ's.......I think you'll save yourself a TON of time......
And if anyone still has a question about it....ya know there are plenty here who will answers q's for ya!
Anways....back to wrapping....
Nicole
And btw...Merry Christmas

HOW TO USE THE RANKING SYSTEM classes will be held at my house... three days a week... each class will be 4 hours long.... Melly will bring the tequila.... Gilly will bring the low carb snacks...Nicole will bring the crabcakes.... and Phill will make a rare appearance for some whine...there will be a loooooooong test at the end of the 11 month course... now taking applications!!!
Ehem... looks good Phill... "just for fun" and "critique" seem redundant since getting rated IS asking for a critique and visa versa... ya don't need it. JMVVVVVHO!
Heck... how am I to get my last minute Christmas shopping done with all of ya's yackin so loud in here!!! Carry on....

Maybe I'll change it - if you select to allow ranks you are thereby selecting to be critiqued! Right?
Thx

Okay Done!
Look now, what is your feedback?
Rank/Critique Submission? Yes No (still allows comments)
Allow Comments? Yes No
If you select Rank = Yes then you will allow comments & Critiques. It doesn't matter if you select comments = No.
If you select Rank = No, then you have the option to select comments.
If you select Rank = Yes , then it says "Please Critique this submission" otherwise it states "This submission is Just For Fun"
That should do it?
I hope! Whew...

Phill,
it would be nice with a little inconspicous sign that shows whether a sub is for critique or not. That would it make it easier to choose when browsing the list of subs.
Previously, people wrote something like "please critique" in the title, but with the new choices that info is not available without clicking on the sub. If I only have a little time I would prefer to listen to subs where people are interested in my opinion.
