Yeah, I saw that as well, and so did the moderators... I am working on another Calendar to replace the current one. The one here doesn't perform as well as I would like. Plus people don't seem to understand how it works. I started working on writing up instructions, but they seemed so lengthy that I didn't think anyone would read them anyways! PHiLL |

Please note that if you click on "Events Calendar" on the left, it opens a monthly calendar. All events are stored in the "Events Calendar Forum" for viewing and responding to details. I don't think everyone knew that! PHiLL |

I personally believe that the Calendar that is in place is excellent. It fuctions well with the forums. You may want to add categories for other events and allow other forum sections to post events also. I have used the PHPBB forums with the calendar for other sites and it is great. There are a few modifications that can be installed to assist. Aren't there directions already available? I will see if I can locate them and send them via email to you. |

Post subject: | Ooops! How do I delete a whole post? |
I read what Phill wrote about clicking on the calendar (after I posted our New Years Eve party) and, for reasons people who know me in person will understand, I did not put two & two together and thought the actual calender was separate from the posting.... This is what's known in my world as a "Stupid Susie Mistake". Fortunately most can be rectified. I tried to delete the post that I placed without the benefit of the calendar and can't figure it out.... Help Please, Susie |

Okay, that was a simple fix... I set it up so that registered members can now delete their post in the Events Calendar. Hopefully, this will help. Also, I responded to your other post in the Comments forum. PHiLL |

PHiLL I didn't notice about the 'events calendar' until you pointed it out! thanks! And notice... 'first annual' has stopped flooding his announcements |

Post subject: | Multiple listings on the events calendar |
I have read all of the above comments and have to say that I was unaware that the listings of the events calendar were placed anywhere except for on the events calendar. Yes I could have just said the contest runs from here to there but as I am sure you are not aware this contest is very costly without contestants being aware of when and where it will be each night. In an effort to ensure that everyone was able to have the information as to the whens and wheres of the contest each night I placed the information so anyone could look at the events calendar and know the contest was that evening. I am sorry if this has offeneded anyone and think that possibly there should be an option for the post to be added or not added to any other forum. |

The Events Calendar is part of the forums. I cannot seperate it. This is where all events are stored in order to be displayed in the calendar. I understand that some events are held at different locations and on different days. There are ways to present this information without having to input multiple posts. When an event is on the same day and same location for a period of time, you can enter the start date. then check advanced. This will open a new section where you can enter additional information. Such as the end date and the interval. I hope that helps explain it a bit further. Thanx PHiLL |
