KJ File Manager is decent for renaming and organizing; finding files that are not named properly etc. When you say 'catalog your files', what exactly do you want to do?

Like a song book by song title or by artist that performed it

You can also use just about any karaoke software available to find and play the karaoke files you have.

Just depends on exactly what kind of organization and access you are looking for.

As much as i hate to admit it, KJ file manager is probably THE best karaoke tool in the industry.

Say what you want about the guy being a egomaniac and customer service being sub-par, the guy makes really good software

Once your files are named correctly in one of the standard formats, that's all you need to do. You don't need to organize them in different folders for any reason except for by type. Keep all your karaoke files in one folder, all your MP3s in another, and videos in another. Other than that, there's no need to further break them down because as others have said already, whatever software you use for playing them will enable you to lookup any song very quickly. If you do use KJ File Manager for fixing your files, it too has an easy search feature for looking up specific songs or artists.

The idea of "organizing" your files on your hard drive is the old school way of doing it. These days, the software out there does all the work of looking things up.

What you are describing is any one of the dozens of Karaoke hosting programs that exist. It's time to drag yourself into this century and ditch the CD players.
