Bar owner says they aren't selling enough booze? Well here's one thing you can do. Turn up the volume.

Exactly what I have found and expressed to one bartender in particular. Importance of noise. She quit complaining about the level of noise now that I have increased the amount of regulars Substantially. From 500% to over 800% every Saturday since I took over. More people = more cars in the lot = more tips = even more cars in the lot = even more tips.

Ladies like driving Bass, guys like ladies. Loud noises raises a level of irritation as wells as voices and makes one drink more and faster. Coping mechanism??? Not sure exactly why, but I suspicion for several differing reasons and reasons that may be confined individualistically to the person.

When I began hosting at this establishment there were only 3-5 regulars and 2 of them never spent any money on drinks and only one of the 2 would order from the grill. She (bartender) complained about that and wanted me to make an announcement stating that to continue to support karaoke patrons had to buy 2 drink minimum or order something from the grill. I explained to her that they drove here and the more cars in the lot the more cars that there will be and most people come to a bar to drink. More cars out front means a happening place. In essence things will get better with noise and cars and to not call them out over the mic as they know who they are.

This has served us well, plus I am likable and attentive to the individual mixes. The owner loves me.

I should add that since nearly everyone that frequents bars in Colorado have already had a DUI or have taken the spanking along with the DUI abuser by having to provide transportation for them, now most people get cabs, Ubers, etc. if too much imbibing. Many only stay less than 2 1/2 hours and there are people coming and going all of the time. I've driven several home myself after loading eqpmt.
