Post subject:  Legal use of music videos

This question pertains to use of music videos during a dj/karaoke show.
How if possible can you do this legally.
I own a projection system and a club owner has inquired about this. she wants me to do a Dj show and said she has seen this done.

Thanks

I personally wouldn't worry about the use of video music as I would assume it is covered by the ASCAP/BMI fees a club normally would pay... if the particular club doesn't carry those two licenses I wouldn't worry about playing music videos anyways... 99% of the time it is the responsibility of the establishment to maintain current music licensing of music being broadcast in their club, whether it be video, CD, mp3, live band, or radio.... -tig
