The inevitable happened last night... I went to go buy an SBI song off of the Tricerasoft store embedded in JK2.0, and it came back with an unavailable message :/ Funny though... The SBI tracks are still showing up on their website, including the one I tried to buy last night. This is not a good sign... With all the UK manus pulling out of North America, I'm not sure I see a good future for them. Thoughts? |

Well that six because many of us were buying the tracks from them. Well there is always karaoke.net as a purchasing option for new tracks. |

They have been in a lawsuit with EMI for a while, might have just caught up with them. Also SBI has made the claims that Tricerasoft has not been paying them since November when SBI ordered Tricerasoft to stop selling their tracks. This isn't just something I'm speculating, SBI has stated it on their site directly.Funny though... The SBI tracks are still showing up on their website, including the one I tried to buy last night. I've been on the Tricerasoft bandwagon since Swift Elite 1.0 came out, but this whole thing is just annoying now. Zoom should follow SBI's lead and at least get some of it's products available for the US/Canada market. I'm also glad there is karaoke.net and karaoke-versions as well, something is definitely better then nothing. As for Tricerasoft, I hope they straighten things out over there. Not only can't you buy karaoke tracks, but they should get back to work on making and updating their products (Yes, I know it's not their bread and butter anymore). Just Karaoke 2.0 needs some tweaks they aren't planning on working on, The remote server stuff is buggy (Though it does work OK with JK2.0) and I'd really like a ripper from them that can handle multisession CDs. |
