Two months ago I had to mix to speakers (JBL TR125 and EV) due to the fact I blew a speaker. The EV just went (it was on the verge) and now I must purchase new speakers. I have two choices search ebay for a single JBL TR125 or purchase a new set. I have been looking at getting JBL EON g2 powered speakers. I need your opinion on what you consider good pro speakers that will meet the following needs:

Good sound for Karaoke/DJing
Portability
Reliability
A set that I will get the most for my money

Will be using mostly in small to medium size venues

Thanks, Bob :D

your jbl's & Electrovoice speaker both carry a 5 year warranty. it may still be good, check it out first. rather than replaceing the box and all just replace the bad parts, it is a bunch cheaper. I know. and I Use both brands.

If you have a Yorkville dealer in the area, look at them. The NX 550s are excellent (12") and they have a new NX750 (15") but haven't heard them yet. Excellent sound fantastic warranty 2/10. Anything that happens in the first two years is covered including falling out of an airplane at 30,000 ft. As for durability ask Harry about his Yorks after rolling his van.

I too would recommend the Yorkville NX 550! Excellent quality with a very good sound, I rate them second after the EV for sound quality, JBL are way down the list for my sensitive ears along with any Peavey wink:
