I just wanted to share the most exciting news!

My friend, Jenae, after years of hard work and toil finally got signed (pending her lawyer making sure the contract is legit) to a 3 year country deal in Nashville! (she is from Edmonton)

If anyone wants to check her music out, please let me know

I just want to make sure that everyone understands this is not advertising for her (as she has done that enough for herself over the years )...it is just so exciting to know someone who this has actually happened to! It makes me believe that one day it could happen to me .....or anyone here for that matter if they work hard enough

I can't even imagine what it will be like if her songs get played on the radio here in Canada....I hope that she will be that successful!

She was the one that really got me into singing and made me believe that I could sing....and sing well! Even when I sang horrible she was always there for me

I am so happy for her....and wish her all the best GO JENAE GO!

that is terrific news !!!! word of caution to your friend...(and its wonderful she has a lawyer looking over the contract)...GETTING SIGNED AND GETTING PROMOTED ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS...SOMETIMES A LABEL WILL SIGN SOMEONE JUST TO KEEP THEM AWAY FROM THEIR COMPETITION....(sorry i hit my caps by mistake, i wasnt yelling)...sometimes they will produce a demo and shelve it for no reason...the main thing i hope her lawyer is looking for is promises of promotion...i was signed to a demo deal, demo got made and nothing happened after that, and the worst part was i could not solicit my music to others while under contract...i didnt have a lawyer do a read (just a friend who was big business) so im sure she will be fine...i am very proud of anyone who crosses that line of being signed...i wish her well and yes let us know who it is so we could watch for her !!! (fingers crossed)

! She just goes by Jenae I told her already her CD release has to be at Cook County ! I don't know all the details for sure yet....It is just really exciting!

And Dumbdrums...that is definately good advice Again, I don't know the full detials, but I know that her lawyer has been with her forever....so it all should be okay.

I guess it is a learning experience for her too....and after this, she will definately get to see what it is like in the big time! I am sure it will be very exciting

I've already listened to some of her songs and she is fantastic! Both her pop songs and country. I hope she does get promoted heavily, she certainly deserves a chance. She's a LOT better than a lot of them out there now IMHO.

It is sad though Ritisroo that you're be losing your producer and friend for a while anyway.

It is sad...but I have only known her for a year or so....and even in that time I could see how hard and how bad she wanted this

Thank god in this day and age we have such great technology.....there will always be ways to stay in touch and be updated

just listened to "envy"...very very cool !!...jenae definately has a marketable quality to her voice...her music is very up to contempory standards...she has an edgy look as well from her pub shot...i really dont see that with a push from a label she couldnt be the next sarah or avril...canada seems to have a way of finding these musicians who are truly that...musicians !! all we seem to churn out here in the states is big busted blondes with a fashion sense of less is more...im glad she is canadian cause now she already has more credibility with me....good luck jenmae !!!!
