I was just curious....I see all over different websites (ebay, craigslist and others) selling packs from Music Maestro, Legends, Sweet Georgia Brown sets, All Hitz, you name it. Are any of these made legally anymore, and if so how can one find out who owns them, or the rights to them?

Legally made - highly doubtful, even from the days they were starting out. Music Maestro was sued out of existence for not getting legal licensing - but MOST of their stuff sucked anyway - didn't matter. All Hits 'supposedly' was licensed in the first couple discs but was sold after that and was 'said' nothing after that. SGB is AH rehashed. The original Legends was a spawn of Sunfly for a while but then they split to two different companies - do not know why.
As far as finding out who owns the rights - again they were 99.9% chance most were never made legally to begin with and you will NEVER find out who made them to begin with. Yes you can still find many of these made and sold on e-bay, craigslist, etc. but that don't mean they were/are legally made to begin with.

If they are pressed and have a ring code the chances are pretty good that they are not copies, but that still doesn't mean that the maker had the the right to make them. One the other hand I have CB and SC discs that aren't pressed that are legit.... well so they say :?

Thanks, was just curious. I didn't think there was a clear cut answer. I wish we had laws like England, so more people would make karaoke again here.

I thought MM was one of the companies who did things legally back in the day.

If I recall that is why they shut down - not licensing and were pretty much sued out of business. I believe it was talked about here but don't have time to search it out right now. But again most of their stuff sucked imo so it didn't really matter.
