Hi
Am a student from Ireland doing an assignment where i have to design a new type of karaoke machine for bar use. I dont have to go into the technical aspect of it, just really the design of the actual hardware.

I don't have a clue about what hardware a typical karaoke machine is made up of or how it works. All i know is that I am gonna design something a little bit crazy.

I would be delighted if anyone can give me some info about karaoke machines, their hardware, disadvantages of current machines etc...anything actually wud be very much appreciated.

Lee :D

Most of that work has been done, but if you have a "sugar daddy" with lots of $$$, you could re-invent the wheel.

MTU does computer karaoke, on laptops and such.

CAVs does too, but with their own hardware.

Some use MP3 files on a laptop, so it's open to whatever you want.

Google it and see what turns up...
