I would have changed the Shure Logo to SUTURE ...as in you're gonna need some. |

I had a gut last night parade all over the room, cupping the mic, and yelling into it. He could actually sing quite well, but you couldn't understand him because of the distortion and feedback issues. When he was done he asked me why I turned his mic way down. |

It must have been pretty bad if the singer was causing feedback to your L1 Compacts It was when he was on the stage. I use a Mackie SRM450 for a floor monitor. Shure Beta58's don't like to be cupped either. |

Most karaoke participants, and a good number of KJ's, have total sonic impairment. So microphone technique is way outside their ability. |
