I had ordered some items via Sunfly (http://www.sunflykaraoke.com/)

When I went to check on them and see about ordering additional songs - I am not able to access the website!?

http://www.sunflykaraoke.com/sorry.html

Well, ain't that a pain in the arse!

What do I do now?

Anyone else experience this issue?

Just wait until the Trans-Pacific Trade Agreement takes hold and see what that does for IP rights holders. It will turn all IP into a nightmare compared to what we currently have.

Just like Obamacare it was passed without ever being allowed to be read and contains thousands of pages of legalese. I don't think it is fully implemented yet so maybe it can be reversed.

They make it impossible to buy their material and then wonder why people download it for free. You can't make this stuff up.

In fairness, they aren't making it impossible to buy their material. The U.S. music publishers have begun cracking down on foreign producers who use their local licensing schemes for downloads, which do not license the act of downloading to the U.S. UK producers could sell downloads here, but they would have to go through the U.S. publishers just like American producers have to.

Well - I received this reply on Facebook:

Sunfly Karaoke Unfortunately our website is no longer available to customers in North America for the foreseeable future. We offer our sincere apologies and will notify all customers when it is back online

I'm not even sure. The new "system" from SC and all has me thinking it's time to call it quiets.

I was quite pissed when I found this out. I downloaded Adele - Hello right before the block. Went back to get more of her new stuff, only to see I couldn't. Her tracks are gone from Tricerasoft too. It is getting really hard to find songs people want to sing.

Ill chime in here in my baby diapers....

I have actually known artists who dislike Karaoke and believe it lowers the number of "Album" sales and concert tickets... really? Most of the recordings I have bought have been due to hearing them on the radio, done by a cover band, or in a karaoke bar. Imitation is a form of flattery AND free advertising. It actually drives sales.
So... ASCAP and BMI and Sescom all need to go to congress and straighten out this whole licensing mess before it kills the already almost dead American music industry. Too many people want more than their fare share of the proceeds from any creative venture and ironically most of the time the artist loses. I have friends still getting royalties from europe from material they did in the 60's!!!!!!!!!!!! I personally thing it's a greed thing.
It's so absurd that you need an electricians license to change a light bulb in certain parts of florida!!!!!! Enough with the damn licenses, consolidate them!!!!! You make more in the end.

I sure as hell hope we don't lose SBI!!!!
