Hey all.
Bruce here, been doing small show's now for about 1 yr, in private clubs. We have a few regulars at each. Singers vary on slow night 7-8 a good one 15-30. I was running a mackie 406m , never could really get it sounding that good, average on a good night! I recently bought a new system. Me and my wife are on a pretty tight budget so please don't laugh.System as follows.
Pair Wharfedale EVP-S15's
One Wharfedale EVP-12M monitor
Crate SPA 900 2 Channel amp
LTO L-8 mixer w/effects
JVC XL_MV505 Triple tray player
Alesis Dual MEQ_230
Samson stage55 wireless mic
Shure SM58 wireless mic
2 Audix OM-2 wired mics

I'm coming out of my mixer with a Y to one side of eq for mains. Out of my Aux 1 send on mixer to other side of eq for monitor. Then to my amp mains on channel 1. Monitor on channel 2. Running my music through channel 8 on mixer. My Problem is I'm not sure how too set the effects, my monitor usually sounds flat ! Mains usually sound pretty good but last weekend one of my regulars said It did'nt sound that great. I have 16 Presets on effects and 16 Varaitions underneath. Do I go with a delay? Reverb? Vocal 1? vocal 2? Your experaince in this would be appreicated.
I know some like echo some don't Is there some where to start for a happy medium? Thanks Bruce.
