Would love to have these built for me, but the plans seem to be missing details, and i'm completely confused about other details. Maybe someone would be able to explain stuff to me.

I wonder if they didn't show venting for the mids on purpose. It probably is by design but it would be worth asking if you did take this project on.

Those low frequency drivers are heavy! 25 pounds each! Those cabs would be upwards of three digits weight wise once completed. I'd go Neo LF drivers for $40 more and cut the weight down to 10 pounds each. The Neo LF drivers have a lower frequency rating as well..

so is the dotted lines because the mid drivers are going in their own box/cabinet? that's the main thing that confuses me.

When it says the ports are 28 mm does that mean that has to be the thickness of the front piece?

My uncle is quite skilled, but he's usually too busy to do extra projects for extended family..I don't actually mind paying someone to do it, but i would like to understand a little of what's going on before i do.

Exactly. The plans need a tad bit of clarification. Are the Mids mounted in the back of their small "box" or the front and non ported. Do you vent the back of the small box to allow some air flow? Maybe the design is meant to isolate the mids and keep the back pressure. You need those answers so the cab is tuned properly.

Speaker design is an art form all in itself. You could end up needing a lot of parametric tuning if you don't get it right.

Mids(from 100hz to 2500hz) don't need venting and yes their in there own box.

The plans call for X over points at 250 to 3000 Hz.

so lemme see if i have this correct

The top and bottom panels would be a sheet 466mm x 780
the side panels would be 400 x 906
the back and front panels would be 780 x 906

and the mids go in their own enclosed box that is 290 length x 580 height and is 200 mm deep?

Does anyone happen to know if i change to 12" drivers if that would negatively impact the design

The box would not tune to 12" drivers. You would have to shrink the base box volume. I don't remember the formula it's been too long ago.
