Been really looking into setting a HOME karaoke system. I dont really want to go all out or anything but i want something decent. My dad started me off by giving me a pair of wireless mics that he got from asian store that was probably over priced "bettermusicbuilder VM-82U-G2" I will probably be using these mics and as i have been reading a bunch of other threads i will be leaning towards getting the Electro-Voice ZLX12P Two-Way Powered 12" Loudspeaker. My question now is what else do i really need to set everything up? THank you
Karaoke Songs turn out to be the most $$$ part of your system. You have a few options with acquiring karaoke music:
1) Karaoke Channel on your TV
2) Cheap karaoke collections (CD's) from ebay or from members on here.
3) Music downloads to a computer
4) karaoke Subscription
as far as hardware:
1) a cheap laptop or desktop with a second monitor out (to display CDG graphics)
2) or an iPad/Tablet running many free karaoke Apps
3) or any hardware device that you can get access to you tube karaoke. (Smart TV)
other hardware:
1) Powered Speakers (depending on your budget)
2) small 4 channel mixer (40 bucks on eBay) Behringer makes some cheap durable ones.
3) cables to connect everything.
Cheers!
