Hiya people thought i would just put my last waffle in cause i move house over the weekend and will be without my internet connection for a couple of weeks....bloody server...ive been going cold turkey for the last week already and its not even switched off yet
ol....2 weeks climbing the walls...i am not addicted honest hehehehe.
Anyways, yesterday i subbed a song that i had covered a few months ago when i was on DTS and i wasnt mega happy with it at the time....because up until 4 or 5 months ago i had not sung in 2 years, so its taken a while for me to feel like i have gained some strength back in my vocals.
Anyways i decided cause ya know when you first arrive at these sites your recordings aint always the best of quality to begin to re do some of my old recordings and yesterdays being one of them....i was so pleased with the difference when i compared the vocals, and amazed at the difference in my own voice....so i thought right! ive been so very vocal both here and on the other site about honest critique and ratings etc....but i just wanted peoples feedback on the song...so i thought right the only way i am gonna get constructive critique about the vocals etc is if i do this.
I did a lot of thinking before i actually clicked that yes button for ratings, not because i was worried about the kind of feedback i would get...feedback good and bad is all helpful...it was purely because in reality i did not agree with the honest critique....but i thought right what the heck it is just a test i want peoples opinions so i must do this.
I was very suprised actually at the response...i was pleased with all the comments and the rating i am more than happy with...i believe those that listened and commented were very genuine...there was 1 person who i believe ranked a little different to the comments that were left and so i did ask the individual for reasons and how he actually ranked...please don't get me wrong it was not a bad ranking just an average 1 but the comments were outstanding so it didn't quite match if you understand...but other than that i do think people were genuine and fair.
I will not put any more subs of mine up for rating again cause normally it doesn't make any difference i am just one of these people that love to sing and participate its all just for fun for me ...but i do think after doing this little test with myself and my strong opinions it has opened my mind a little more and given me a little more understanding of the comment and ranking.....so thankyou people
