Just curious!
How do you guys find time to all the listens that you do???
I mean, now I've spend lots of hours doing catch ups, and even if just took one of your songs and gave that a listen (it takes several hours by all the people I wanna listen to)!!!
An average song is between 3 and 5 minutes + the time doing comments, and replying on comments!
I'm just being curious, cause I for sure can't keep up with you guys. And I've got this feeling (just a feeling), that some of you might be annoyed if I don't come and listen to your songs every- or every other day!
Believe me, I would if I could, but there is this time issue here! 24 hours a day, going to work 8-9 hours, spending time with your family ? hours, being on SS ? hours and then some hours to sleep, to get ready for the next day!!!!
How do you do it????

I have a list of possibilities on how it is done but, against my better judgement, I will keep it to myself ... I go through and just listen to songs that I like personally- I could care less who sings it,,, when I go down the showcase and a song jumps out because it is a genre I like, or it takes me back to a moment in time, or I can't get the song out of my head (which having been a radio and club DJ for 20 years I have MANY stuck in there... most often it is something by the B-52's )... for the record- that little voice that most people have in the back of their heads that says "don't say that" or "that isn't politically correct"??? I haven't heard from that voice for years.... keep on singing- tig

Sham, I can tell you, my being here so much has made me neglect quite a few chores at home lately. I find myself scurrying trying to keep up. Yesterday I was very frustrated and down and feeling overwhelmed with all the demands, yet I wanted so badly to stay on here and listen more. But again, it's my perfectionist tendency to always want the house to look perfect. I had a chat with a lovely lady, Connie, who made me feel better and know that there's always tomorrow to take care of business.
Sooo....here I am again. My love of singing seems to overpower everything else sometimes. Luckily, I have a very understanding and supportive family who always wants to please me. We work together to make each other happy. My priority in life will always be my family. They don't make me feel guilty for spending so much time here because I give them quality time. It's always a two way street.
BTW, I've got the song picked out for our duet. I PM'd you earlier today.

I'm kind of a night owl.. so I am usually here late in the evening winding down. Although.. this place is addicting and like Luly... some things don't get done because I am here! My daughter is all grown up and my life is a bit more laid back these days. But I know you have a new son... and I am so glad you are able to make some time to still stop in and give us a song now and then... cause I for one LOVE your songs and will always be there to listen... when I can! Nobody can be here all the time and nobody should feel bad about that! This place is kinda like the Cheers bar... it's play time.. when all the other stuff is done.. er... hopefully!!!
Keep singin' Shamran...

well Brian I myself I think is one of the lucky ones, I work a lot of split shifts, I am up in the mornings at 4:30am-5am, that time is usually spent replying to my comments over breakfast before i go to work, I then Get home from work at 10am, this gives me chance to catch up on the latest subs, which can be between, 6-9 new subs that I havnt heard. by 11:30am I open cep, and record a song. have Lunch, then I usually, do a few house chores, a little before 2pm, i will post my sub, if ive got one, thne go back out to work, I thne get back home for around 5:30pm, catch up again on the latest subs before Dinner. around 6:15pm, I will go and sit around and chill with the family, then eat, after Dinner, around about 7:30pm, I will probably be back on ss, by now your thinking man this menephes needs to get a life .. and i dont blame you if you do ..
this can be most my typical days, But if I have shift changes or other demands in life to drag me from the comp, then I have to do those, somedays, I can miss a whole day on the comp, and the catch up then can be a real stretch,
I dont expect people like yourself to make comments on all my subs Brian, I know that people have much more busy lifes than myself, I can appreciate this, like I said I just feel fortunate that I have so much spare time on my hands, but thats only due to hard work in the past
All I can say brian is dont worry about, you can only do so much in one day, and i'm sure a lot of people on here appreciate this,

Um, Shamran, if requirements for listening and keeping up were based solely on the cuteness of pix (not talking about the baby), you would be completely exempt in my opinion! So keep subbing!

I sub when I can (normally once a week) and listen when I can. No need for feeling guilty. If you think certain people will be annoyed when you don't listen/comment, then it's just tough titties for them!
This is a place to have fun, if and when you can. You don't have time today? OK, tomorrow or whenever will do!
