...Question is, would you buy if available?

...Before I name artist and title:
#1) It's Country
#2) A slow sobbing song
#3) It's not for everyone or every venue
#4) Contains the "F-Bomb"
...However, if you've been around long enough at Karaoke Shows (Commercial Venues and or Private Parties), many times crowd will really interact with the song & singer:

Examples: Garth Brooks - Friends In Low Places, Billy Idol - Mony Mony, Travis Tritt - Here's A Quarter (crowd throws quarters at singer or on stage) and several other songs.

...I know not everyone enjoys listening to country music, singing country music or hearing somebody else singing country music but would this be one of those songs where the crowd interacts with the singer?

...Before anyone judges me, throws me to the wolves, etc. Yes, I'm normally somewhat conservative, to a point. However, (horns coming out of head) I do believe there's a time and place for every song!

... (ARTIST):WHEELER WALKER, JR.. - (TITLE) F**K YOU, B**CH ... it's on You Tube.

...Just imagine many in the audience singing the chorus .... could be wrong? Please don't hate me?

It's normal language for the younguns' and I can see that a few might get some satisfaction from singing it--sort of the male version of "I Will Survive." But it is a bit draggy to be more than a temporary novelty in my opinion. They are still doing the Cee Lo Green song which is the same sentiment with more of a beat.

I thought "Too Drunk to Karaoke" would be big but no. I did it once and that was that. This will be about the same.

Nope. The f bomb prohibits me from playing it in our club. So no point wasting the money.

I bought that song from All Star Karaoke almost a year ago (when it first came out), and I still haven't sung it anywhere. I just don't think the song would go over very well. BUT... the video that's out there for this song is hilarious (I'd love to have half of those drinks they served that kid).

Nope! It won't see the light of day in any of my shows... whether requested or not... Same as the Rodeo Song and several others of the ilk.

Wow... Some of these clubs are conservative as F###?! Are they under 21 clubs? No alcohol? Patrons are all virgin Mormons (not permitted to go to places of ill repute that serve the devil juice)... Do they hold book burning rituals, by chance? Hey-my kinda place! Lol

My show... my rules. My clientele consists of ages anywhere from a little 7-year-old girl... to a 91-year-old great, great grandmother. The biggest group would fall into the 35 to 60 age range.

To play that song (or The Rodeo Song), I know there would be those who would be offended.

If someone wants to sing it that badly, they can go to someone else's show... It won't hurt our business... We very seldom have less than a 35 rotation.

Yep all 21 and over clubs. Our decision stems back to when we allowed everything ('91-'94). Brang in college age kids in groups that would drink a pitcher or two between them, find the dirtiest songs & mumble the words but scream out the obscenities. These would also be the same type people that would start some kind of altercation everytime they came in. The manager & owner of the club decided they didn't want the obcenity music anymore and we pulled them - at that time I had to pull ALL hard core metal too! We lost that type of group but gained a better spending and better singing crowd. So we've been obscenity free since '94 and RARELY hear any complaint that someone can't sing a song. They aren't listed in the books so out of sight, out of mind 99% of the time. I did manage to get the hard rock/metal back in the books as long as they are clean lyrics! If someone wants to sing an obscene song, I tell them go get it out of their system down the street (crapioke show, but everything goes there and never busy).

It's clean but just not funny. Most "funny songs" get done a lot.

Just because people are offended doesn't mean they're right, and it also doesn't mean we should have to jump through hoops to accommodate 1 offended person. What ever happened to 'the majority rules'? Exactly what's wrong with this country today. I mean, I understand if it's your own rule or the club's rule, but otherwise, if they can't take a joke....

A good trick is when for example you're just getting ready to push play after loading that Eminem song, just leave the stage for the duration of the song... At the end... Just grab the mic and say "man, that song makes me sweat... Followed by "two words... Anger management" lol then move on and introduce next singer.

I don't sweat it... I've played DJ songs by request or as a marker for the top of rotation. I had a person threaten to beat me up if I played another Michael Jackson song, because of his alleged child molestation accusations, (someone requested, the week of his death). Also someone threatened to kill me if I didn't stop playing that "nigger music" (referring to R&B), until I reminded him that he didn't seem to mind having his eyes glued to the college aged girls who requested it & were dancing to it... Lol. Yes, follow the crowd, but don't give in to pressure.

Obscenity schmenity . . .

If you REALLY want to see a club riled up . . . Let someone attempt to sing an anti-war song at a VWF, Elks, or Legion Hall.

Reminds me of when I got fired at the Union centre owned by italians. I played the Jersey boys - "Fava Bean crank call" that some customer requested. Never did get called back to work there again.

But on the other note. The "Rodeo" song is perfect to motivate a dead party anywhere, anytime.
