So I just won Disk 1 and Disk 2 of the DK millennium Set from eBay for just under $60.00. But the format i need to run in Dual DVD player.

These disks are very similar to Cavs set offered at 2300USD.

My question is, does anyone know where to get the DK set 1-99 in MP3+G format?

I'm looking for Legit Supplier, not Copies.

Must be MP3+G

Let me know.

It would be cheaper and a HECK of a lot easier to buy a program to convert the CAVS files into mp3+g tracks.

Powerkaraoke has exactly what you need for $40US and is what I used to covert the exact same millenium discs that you have.

Your discs are known as "SCD+G" (Super CD+G). It's an odd duck format that is poorly named, as it actually isn't a CD at all but a dual layer DVD. They did this so they could cram hundred of songs onto a single disc. The only downside is most all SCD+G songs are only encoded at 128kbps in order to cram even more onto the DVD. (There are exceptions, I cant remember which but I recall when ripping that one brand was at 256kbps.).

Anyway, James is right!

Go buy the Powerkaraoke converter and rip them all to MP3+G. Go here --> http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod-po ... ripper.php

As an aside while googling I came across the CAV's page below. I had no idea they had a free SCD+G creator for download. So if you ever run across someone with a true SCD+G player that wants to make their own home brew discs, they can.

If those DK discs 1 and 2 are Super CDGs, didn't someone once post something about DK never producing or authorizing a SCDG (thus, making them illegal copies)?

I wouldn't worry about it. Its not your job to be the karaoke police, you bought it in good faith.

It's not like anyone is going to come after you anyway *the company gave up on karaoke AGES ago*

Hello,
To answer your question: Yes, they are perfectly "Legal" but usually are played in a CAVS player or a PC DVD Drive. I work in the karaoke industry and I made several calls concerning your Millennium Set 1 and 2.

1st, check each disc. As long as there are no paper labels on the disc then you are good to go. Also on the inside ring you will notice a bar-code on the underside of the disc (Not on the plastic ring.) You should see Millennium Vol 1 and Millennium Vol 2 for each disc.

2nd, your discs should have on the top of the disc near the outer ring you will notice Millennium Vol.1 and Vol. 2 depending on which disc you looking at. On the back of the DVD case you will see (c) & (P) Audio DK/ C INTL MARKETING CO. LTD. This company licensed songs through Daiichikosho DK and made 2 volumes out of them

If you would like the bar code information, I would be more than happy to help you. The information I provided was done after making mass calls to ease your fears.

Do not let people scare you into buying something that was on the market and still is for that matter. You can buy a cheap program called roxbox super cdg converter or you might possibly find something free out there do make them into mp3+cdg or mp3+g zips.

Keep On Singing!
