How often, when editing a KBS file, do you find the mouse pointer difficult to control. You know, when you're trying to grab a word or syllable and it's so short you have to move the mouse pointer re-a-lly slow to try and catch the edge. Maybe you use the control arrows at bottom right to make a adjustments; I like to grab the edges and tweak them. But the pointer speed you set for sweeping around the screen is far to fast for fine movements and the pointer changes from a pointing finger, to a double bar (like an equals sign, I suppose), to the standard arrow head so quickly you keep missing the damn thing. You could go through Control Panel and alter the settings. But then when you need the mouse to move across the screen you give your mouse mat friction burns. And it really slows down your work rate.
I have a problem whereby my PC won't come out of 'SLEEP' mode in response to the keyboard or mouse, due (I thought) to the fact that they are both wireless and the USB interface was also sleeping. To try to prove this, I plugged in a conventional (wired) mouse to the PS2 socket. And to my surprise both mice worked. But the wired mouse crawled along much more slowly than the wireless one. (Still with me?).
I had a lightbulb moment and fired up KBS to see if I could just pick up the fast mouse or the slow one, depending on the particular task I was involved with. It works beautifully! No more throwing the mouse across the room in fits of frustration, no more kicking the cat down the stairs (relax, I don't have a cat).

I did have a brief look in Control Panel to see if I could adjust the settings of both mice but could find only the wireless one. Still, it was working so I decide to leave well alone. I hope my little insight is of use to anyone else who suffers from this problem.
