Hi,

I just noticed that Sound Choice has pulled a lot of songs. It seems like they can no longer sell songs from:

U2
Van Halen
Bon Jovi
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Bruce Springsteen (remaining pulled)
Abba

This really sucks!!!

BTW.

if you now buy the Foundation series or the bricks they no longer contain the number of promised songs, since the above mentioned artists have been pulled.

didn't know that they were pulling existing songs, but they did mention on their own bboard that they wouldn't be doing any more from them and many artists.

I wonder at the artists making music nowadays. They seem to forget who their fans really are.

Oh and if you use their song book program they ignore the pulled songs assuming your version of the foundation, brick etc. also don't have them.

yeah, the foundation set I bought a few years ago is different from their very first foundation set. They had pulled five songs then due to expired copyrights...

I wonder how KJPro will handle this?

The only thing I can think of is that the foundation IS a bit different from what it was years ago...

I just got a big surprise at another site. They told me that the foundation(s) are being rereleased again, minus some other artists, such as u2, bruce springstein, etc... and that the digital catalog (and kjpro) type stuff will be altered to reflect the current foundation releases.
Any truth to this?

I don't know where any of this stuff comes from - but I sure hope it isn't us. (And, if it is, they ddn't tell me.)

No, we're not redoing the Foundations - at least not to my knowledge.

The plot thickens...

I noticed it when I was updating my songbook. Suddenly some of the songs on the Foundation had dissapeared. After that I went onto the website and checked the contents of the Foundation and suddenly several discs no longer had all fifteen songs listed.

Perhaps these are just errors in the listings and the software. However, it is curious that specific artists are missing.

The reply you got from Sound Choice sounds like nothing has changed, however if you search on U2 or Bruce Springsteen on their website you will get no returns even though both are on the foundations.

The search engine on the SC site isn't exactly the best in the world.

BTW, since disc 8899 is a new release AND showcased on the front page of the site AND includes Bruce Springsteen's 'Santa Claus is coming to town' I'm pretty sure it's just an anomoly in the search feature and not being dropped from the catalog.

You can always try a google search like this:

springsteen site:soundchoice.com

That will limit the scope of the search to only soundchoice's website.

If you look at the song list for ex. Foundation on the Sound Choice website you will see that some of the discs are listed with less than 15 songs. Ex for disc 14 only 14 songs are listed:

Why don't you go over Sound Choice & ask them directly??? The last Foundation I bought was 2 weeks ago for a friend of mine & it was fine (except for You Lost That Loving Feeling - which I knew). Instead of complaining to a bunch of people who can't do a thing about it, go get your answer from the horses mouth>>????

Good point Lonman,

I just received Brick 2 and all the songs were there. Seems like the newest version of Digicat as well as their web site were missing some songs.
