I've considered leaving too, because of all the biting sarcasm and ridiiculousness lately. Why can't people be nice to each other, and why is it that when you are nice, you're persecuted for it?? Doesn't make a hill of beans of sense.

To those of you this pertains to, nothing wrong with expressing your views, but why be so negative and offensive while doing so? Here is a man that has given his honest opinion at all times and has been more than helpful to everyone and now he's leaving us because he feels he's not appreciated. Tony, you are VERY appreciated and I'm sure there will be alot of people who respond to this and urge you to stay.

I for one, am very grateful to you for all the help you've always given me. Please stay.

I don't think it's fair what you're doing, only because you have people who only cares about them self doesn't give you the right to leave us! Of course you do have this right, you're a big boy and have the freedom do decide what you think is best for you, but I feel it's a shame! I always enjoyed everything you sing & appreciate your constructive comments, now, if for what ever reason some people can't understand this, well, it's there problems not yours!!

I also read stupid post and to be honnest, I just laugh, everyone has the right to there own opinion, I just don't jump in the discussion, that's all!!

Now, get your act together & join the family, PLEEEEEASE!!

I am posting this for Donna (Big Red) because she was not able to post it herself. Most of what she wrote has to do with another thread, but the subject is very well-connected to why Allstar has left us, we believe. She wanted me to let Allstar know that she is very, very sad about his decision, and hopes he reverses it.

"I don't know what possessed me to come over to this side.. but now that I'm here, I would like to tell you all something that happens to me.. I will sometimes listen to a song, and for one reason or another do not get to leave a comment.. right that moment.. if I end up in a hurry when I go back I will not always listen a second time. sometimes I might have to click on your song several times to get to hear all of your sub.. and honestly there are times that I just cant listen all the way through.. ..and I truly hate that....I do try to make sure I listen to everyone..
Argh.. and while I'm here I guess I ought to tell you why I've not posted in the forum even after harassing Phil to find out why I was denied access..

I have come over here and quickly backed right back out.. The reason, I hate to see or hear people angry..I have so much stress here in my home mostly due to my daughters health issues....18 medications multiple times a day...and having to give her injections is all the stress I can handle... While I realize we all have opinions that we need to voice .for me it is difficult to see people who make such beautiful music... become so angry..

You see for me your music is my escape.you bring me smiles, you bring me tears at times with your melancholy ballads performed with such heartwrenching emotion.that I just want to reach through this monitor and give you a hug, .when you sing an upbeat song you energize me.. I have learned the last few years to hold back my feelings, to never let my daughter see me cry to always have a smile when I am around her.. Your music allows me to experience all the emotion that I have damned up...

On the subject of flowery comments well I guess I might be considered someone who says too much.. but If I tell you I think your awesome you damn well better believe I mean it.. I was raised with the saying if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all...with that drilled in to me I am for the most part able to find something I like in every song.. I call you darlin at times.. well that's just my way.. I'm not being forward I've met too many people that have gone through a day with never hearing an endearing remark.. those of us that have people around to tell us how special we are well were the damn lucky ones..I comment on how pretty your picture is.because I see your beauty.and know that sometimes it is hard for us to see those things in ourselves.. sometimes I may leave you one word.. perhaps just ***bravo*** well that means you overwhelmed me with your performance.. And I guess since I've opened up the famous Big Red mouth I guess I'll give my feelings on some other things as well..

As far as ratings.. It's wonderful to see a 10 however that just means that someone appreciated my effort.. I don't breath where I'm suppose to, go flat go sharp.. mess up timing.. I know all these things but my grandmother told me something when I was not much more than a toddler that I will never forget.. "If you have a song in your heart you have to sing it" so that's what I do.. and I believe that is why we are all here.because we have a song in our hearts we just want to share..
If I thought I was anything special.. I damn sure would'nt be subbing...I'd be out making all those mega bucks... that my family could desperately use...yes I do pay attention to how many views.. when I am ready to delete and use that as a guideline for what I need to dump.. It also gives me an idea as to what others perceive as a good song for me..It helps me to decide on my nights out what to sing.. because at times.. I'm to darn tired to make a decision..

your comments, well that's a different story.. I so enjoy reading each and every one of them.. I miss adult contact after working in the non profit arena.. where I met people from every walk of life... this site allows me that adult contact I crave.. I do go out two nights a week and raise hell.. I sing my damn heart out..and then I come home..and everything that I was running from is still here.. But since finding y'all.. my world is brighter because I know I am one click away from hearing a song that will be just what I need to hear at that moment in time. Please I'm not looking for any comments back, but wanted to give you all my "NEWBIE" thoughts on several things, so sorry this turned in to a book.. if it's tooo much to read than please go on to the next subject.. but before I end this book I do want you all to know I appreciate each and everyone's gift of song! and in the end isn't that why we are all here because of the music.."


Phill, this really has gotten outta hand, don't you think? On this site, as well as in life, if we don't have respect for each other, all is lost. And the loss of this man's input is a sad one, indeed. If you don't want to lose more of us, the rule of decency and respect has got to enforced.

I fully agree with this comment! Some people seem to be taking them self to seriously, we are suppose to have fun, not this!!

I can't figure out why we always need to come back to the discussion of the ratings, comments... We should enjoy listening to WHO we want, comment on who we want & decide who we like? Just like the commercial music, I don't like all songs & singers? It's what we call personal taste, doesn't mean he or she is no good? Of course I don't get to hear all the singers here but the time I have, I use it to listen to my prefered members knowing I'm missing some excellent subs!
