I am considering streaming my karaoke show from one particular venue through the http://Twitch.tv service. Anyone else use this or any other service? Best Practices? |

The Cat's Meow in New Orleans is probably one of the best known karaoke venues nationally, and they have been streaming their singers and posting performances on YouTube for over a decade without any ramifications that I know of. |

I am sure there are some legal considerations, but I am not too concerned with them. I am going to stream live, not record, so it won't get saved anywhere unless a remote viewer does it. The venue is unique in that it is a gamer/nerd/tech bar. They cater to that crowd and have super-fast internet that would allow me to stream in HD. They already do it for their Rock Band Karaoke show. |

Oh.....I do not play on showing any lyrics screen btw. Just the stage with the Singers and perhaps the DJ booth in the background. |

As long as you are not making a new recording of the song I think you're ok. Now the other thing would be are both the venue you stream from, and the venue you stream to paying the PRO's? |

If I remember right, If you do not show the singers screen you can stream the singers them selves. Don't forget Dimples in LA (I wish I could  )

Will do. I am speaking to the venue about it this weekend. I am pretty sure they are down with it. I am still waiting on gear to arrive (ordered 4 weeks ago) for this venue and have a lot of plans for it due to the themed nature of the location. |

If this gig goes well for you, I might try to make it out to it. The better half wants to do a west coast vacation this spring, so we might do a Oregon/Washington type of thing. |

I use the online shows for ideas for my shows. Both what to try and what not to do!
