On faster songs the refresh on the graphics tend to get jumbled. I suspect it is the player ( not exactly your higher end dvd deck). Before I go and purchase another deck, could it be the disc's??

some of the lesser brands may not allow for fast graphic scrolling, but I've yet to see it happen.
99 out of 100 times, it's the player.
Don't skimp... get the real good professional players.

But also check your discs for smudges & scratches. If it's smudged or dirty, clean it, if it's scratched, well you can get it repaired (possibly) or replace it.
But generally I agree it's usually the player.
