Hi, I'm new on the forum and I MUST ask where you get all your backing tracks for the singers to sing on in this forum. I'm a vocalist, and I have a concert coming up and I need some hard to find backing tracks (Lita Ford) but for the life of me cannot find anything anywhere. Is there someone who can tell me what to do, or what programs to be looking at? Can anyone reccomend where to get some or even send some tracks down to me? Please, I'm in dire need of HELP! Thanksssss :lol: :oops:

Well I need Playin With Fire (prefferably) and this other song off the Wayne's World soundtrack (lol i'll never get that backing track) and maybe some bon jovi style tracks, old 80s rock tracks that cant find ANYWHERE. Cool, um I emailed you Melly, dont know if you got it...how else can I get backing tracks? I heards something about CDG's...what are they? And where do you guys get yours from? Is there something I can buy? Something that gets rid of vocals on tracks? Anythin? Sumthin? hehe... :oops:

Karaoke discs. They sell them in stores, and online. i will go email you.....hugz :D

CDG = cd plus graphics. These discs will play in any cd player, however if you want the words to come up on your tv screen, you'd need a special CDG player which can be purchased at any of the karaoke retailers. Most of these players also have built in "Vocal Eliminators" that will take out anywhere from an unnoticeable amount of vocals, up to a near perfect elimination. This technology is completely dependant on how the original disc was recorded which I won't get into the detail on how it works. Most discs work to the point where it's vocals may be gone, but you still hear an almost haunting effect of the voice that was there.

At the side of this site there is a purple bar. At the bottom is a list of Karaoke Site Links, click on any of them. This is where some of us get our discs. Most of the sites have a search bar to look for songs & artists. If you can't find what you are looking for there, then let us know & we may be able to direct you to other places that might.

The only Lita songs that I have (& these are the only ones that I know of to be out) are Kiss Me Deadly, Close My Eyes Forever & Shot Of Poison.

You keep adding more to the list ie Bon Jovi (which you should have no trouble finding) & 80's rock. If you give us song names along with the artists, we'll be able to help you ALOT better as we'll be able to tell you if a song is out or not or if it's still available for purchase.

Thankyou sooooooooooooo much for the info. I have been searching everywhere for any info like this. I would love those Lita tracks that you offered, so if anyone wants to help me, just pm me haha, or email me. Ummm, I will post a list of songs soon, thanks a lot for ur help!

These are all on cdg's.

As to your other question about "passing them on", sorry, just can't do that. You will need to purchase the discs. Those songs MAY be available on a custom disc. I'll check & let you know.

Oh ok ok. Sorry, I have found some cdg's I have ordered now! This is what I was looking for. Yup, now I got it. Ok thanks for your help. Your links on the side of the site helped. Ok thanks. :lol:
