WHY COMMENT BUT NOT LISTEN ? THIS REALLY BAFFLES ME, YOU CAN HEAR A GOOD 60SECS OF A SONG WHILE YOUR WRITTING A COMMENT ON A SUB, SO WHY NOT DO THAT ? I WOULD MUCH PREFER SOMEONE TO VIEW AND NOT MAKE A COMMENT THAN SOMEBODY WHO MAKES A COMMENT AND NOT EVEN LISTEN, THIS PERSON HAS BEEN COUGHT OUT 3 TIMES TODAY, AS I WAS TALKING ON MSN TO TWO OTHER PEOPLE, WE ALL NOTICED OUR COMMENTS HAD GONE UP AT THE SAME TIME, BUT THE VIEWS HAD ALL STAYED AT THE SAME NUMBER, I AM NOT GOING TO NAME AND SHAME THIS MEMBER, AS I AM SURE HE KNOWS WHO HE HIS, REALLY WHAT IS THE POIN IN THAT!

Well, gee that is strange... I often listen but not comment. Time being a factor. But to do the reverse? Why is a good question! I guess they just want you to know that they think you are wonderful without having to listen

Yaknow.. I wondered if anyone did things like that. The only reason I can think that someone would want to do that, is that he/she can reply to a whole bunch of songs to get more people to come look at his/her stuff. You know what I mean? They just want to say nice things to as many people as they can to make themselves "look good" so that people will come listen to them. You can get more done if you don't listen to the songs. I really hope that's not what they are doing, but I would imagine there would be some people who try to get away with that. I could be wrong, but that's the only reason I can think that someone would do such a thing. And you're right mene.. they could at LEAST hear a bit of the song while they were typing.. I think it's best to try to listen to the whole song b/c you may miss something that you can either help with, or that might be so cool it blows you away, but some would be better than listening to none :\

menephes1, that is strange This is now where things go as following: Ohhhhhhhh, Mr/Mss X, you are soooooooo wonderful, have suuuuuuuuch a great voice, I give you a 10++++++++++++++++ Meanwhile, you're thinking to yourself, "What an (@$%&#!)!" I really sucked on this one, so please stop blowing smoke up my butt, you haven't even heard my sub! Can you beleive that there are phonies like that araound?!?! Please let us know who he/she/they are, so that nobody needs to bother replying to their commenst either.

I think Jazzy is right. I don't know why you would want to do that either. I mean, some people work so hard on their subs....at least give them the credit they deserve! At least listen to some of the song! Oh well....that's too bad

Yeah. i caught that too. Oh well. Look at this way.....keeps 'em off the street!! I swear, you have to wonder at peoples thinking about things. We get one who subs songs that are not written by them, one who doesn't listen, some who have subbed songs that AREN'T even them singing!! I blame brain surgery for this!! If you're going to go in for it....Please ASK the surgeon TO PUT ONE IN!! That's the only reason i can think for this insanity....sigh, is 10am to eary for tequila?.....

laughs at this thread......i remember bringing a subject up very simular on another site....and boy did i upset some people ...as i always tend to do hehehe.....by bringing the subject up....the thread i posted there went something like....why comment if ya dont listen to the song??? why give the whooooo oooooo this was an amazing performance when ya know perfectly well the person had either listened to the first 2 lines or none of the sub at all......ok dunno if i agree with this comment to get comments back...cause over the last few days i havent been as active on here as i normally am listening and commenting....and yet i subbed a song yesterday and it did very very well....i honestly believe a majority of the time its peoples taste in music...subs i think will do really well of mine and normally the ones ive put the most effort into for some reason dont seem to work as well....and i honestly think thats cause its not such a popular song i have no doubt and there have been people quite open and honest which is great that they will not comment on peoples subs if its not returned and i can respect that....me personally i listen to as much as i can in the time i am here I will say one thing....not always are these counters fully reliable....give you an instance....my last sub says i have 27 comments...when i go there ...only 26 are showing....sooo i would say before anyone points any fingers double check

Yeah, I think it best that we not name names! I don't want to have to deal with that situation. Could you imagine? In the recent past, we have had trouble on the site because of "they said this & they said that" situation... I never like to get involved with these. Hopefully, the person knows what they did was inappropriate and will stop. If not I imagine that they will eventually be weeded out and just leave. So someone gives a comment without even listening, If they don't take the time to enjoy your submission, I feel that it is their loss. With all the tremendous talent on this site (excluding myself) it is extremely fun to hear you. Oh well, just my viewpoint. P H I L L

I always have dial up speeds at the end of the month, and it takes a VERY long time to download songs to listen to. I have openly said, "Sorry, but I only listened to the first half of your song" At the beginning of the month, before I get capped, i listen to ALOT... but, you can bet, if I am commenting, towards the end of the month, I did not hear the whole thing. I feel guilty, but, if I downloaded the whole thing, it would take between 15-30 minutes PER song... and then, I wouldn't ever get to hear ANYONE. I hope that isn't too bad, and, i KNOW people work hard on their songs, and deserve to have the entire thing listened to, but, I simply can't, and understand if you would prefer NO listen, over a half listen:) Any thoughts?

I agree. That makes no sense whatsoever. How could one leave an honest comment without even listening to the song. Every single comment I've ever left, I will guarantee you that I listened to every last second of the song. I understand that some people will only listen to a portion of the song, citing time constraints as the reason for it. I guess I can understand that, but if I'm going to comment at all, rest assured, I listened to every second of the song. @ Sheree... Git a rope! ! I'm surprised that you remembered that! !! Steve

Well, I never ever post here, and for good reasons, but I will not sit idle by and have my character assasinated by anyone, cuz we all know who Rob is blaming, and as I told him privately, where crap like this should stay, I have NO WAY TO DEFEND MYSELF. But one thing I do have is balls! If that's what you all want to think, than think it. Personally, I can give two -oh can't say that word here- what you think...and I'm not trying to be hostile, but I was making an honest effort to listen to every single post on this site, and comment nicely unless the person specifically asked for constructive criticism...why do I do that? For the same reason some of you don't. It's the way I was brought up But it THIS is the result, I guess it's not worth it to do that anymore. So i'll just continue to do my thing,, and you all can go about your business thinking whatever you want about me, or just ignoring me all together. I have more important things in life to worry about. Sorry if anyone is offended by this, but I can't sit by anymore and let it fester.

jason.As far as i can see on this thread, NO ONE said it was you. . The one i saw WAS not you. I will stand up and say that. All Rob did was bring up a question. i think it's nice if people come to visit my songs, but i don't get upset if they don't leave a comment. I do wonder why, honestly, someone WOULD not listen and leave one. THEN how would you even KNOW what that singer sounded like? I comment on ALL i listen to because i like to. Period. Not for people to come see me, although, to be truthful, of course you do in the beginning. THAT's how you MEET people. I think its better than radio, i have great fun, and i have the time to listen to alot .....so i do. If someone takes the time to make a song to be heard, then i don't mind taking the time to listen and let them know i appreciate them. Well, that's the last i will say on this. I do however, respect your opinion.
