Hi, all! My name is Suzanne Lanoue.

My website has been around since, like 96 or something.

Anyway, I followed a link to here from another forum about karoake that I have been on for about three years. I am also on karaokeuniverse on Yahoo, another karaoke mailing list.

I joined today and I have enjoyed listening to all the songs!! I even uploaded my own so that is great.
I have songs on my own site, too.

I first started doing karaoke in 1989 and have been doing it ever since. I just love it. I have been singing since elementary school, mostly in choir. I started taking voice lessons in high school and I was a music major in college. I used to get really bad stage fright and I had a lot of vocal problems, but I finally got a good teacher in 87 who helped me out big time, and then I started doing karaoke a couple of years later and that has helped me get over my stage fright, for hte most part.

I just sing for fun but I'm thinking of starting up a local rock band.

Yeah, it's not like there's a competition between sites, anyway; you can never have too much karaoke, that's what I always say!!

JOLT people are a small but fun clan, and the singers and KJ's are mostly separate there (although there is some crossover between the two groups). We talk about stuff besides karaoke and there isn't much moderation, so sometimes things can get pretty heated. Karaokeuniverse is just for talking about karaoke, period, and it is heavily moderated. Plus it's in my email so it's pretty easy for me to just read the messages when I check my mail, without having to web-surf. Both groups, and this one, have their good points but they are all different!

Hmm, I just noticed that my original post was very truncated and so it didn't make much sense...are we not allowed to post URL's here or something??

When I said "it's been around" I was talking about my website, but that whole part about my site and about the other karaoke sites I frequent was deleted.

I have been doing karaoke since about 89. You can go to my website and see info about me and other stuff....
