Post subject:  Just Curious to See How Many Views Your Subs Receive
I was just wondering how many views (on average) do your subs receive. And what is counted as a "View"? Is it the number of times someone actually listens to the subs? In case you're wondering, this is part of a research project.

Please forgive the funky way the poll looks. I'm having some troubles posting the poll in the right format.

Anyway, it would also be fair to tell you that my number of views/comments are: 10/8, 14/10, 17/11, 10/7, 8/6, 17/5, 9/4, 15/6, 12/7, 12/6, 17/7, 16/6, 12/4, 13/7, 21/5, 10/5.

In summary: Average number of views: 13

Average number of comments: 6

My current numbers are 32, 40, 60, 37, 82

One song has been there for a couple months though (the 82 views).

Also, I would have to say about 10 of those listens on each of the song could possibly be me listening (I just like to listen to hear for mistakes or where I can get better, not cause I like the sound of my own voice LOL!)

Average of 40 views per sub (57, 44, 36, 47, 34, 26, 39)
Average of 26 comments per sub (31, 27, 27, 30, 24, 20, 26)

i average from between 23 - 42 views was my highest...for the sub with 42 views ...26 commented....that is my highest.

i have had songs with only 13 comments and around 22 views

my overall average is 21 comments and around 32 views.


can i just say that i have noticed that the time of day i make my sub does make a difference as to how many comments i get, i am sure especially people from outside america will tell you the same :-)

what ya want to know all this info for anyways? curious now hehehehe

I also delete mine immediately, (after the certain ammount of time has passed)....

Where I used to post.. I would get like 250 views.. (maybe a bug?:) on average.. and then, like 15 comments (and then, like 15 replies from me:).. I like how HERE there seems to be way more people that comments after hearing it, even if less people are hearing it... does that make sense?A much better listen to comment ratio:)

I would rather people just say "hey", then listen anyways;)

I am not certain why this is a topic or what you could possibly be doing as far as a research project? Anyway, to clarify.

A view is when someone actually opens the new window after clicking on the animated music note on the song page. This actually is a 'listen' but that just sounded strange?! - listen, listens, listeners, listenings - heck, used views. :)

NOTE: I listen to almost every submission... I may miss a few... I just don't have the time to comment on all of those! SORRY

With over 40 submissions a day, I feel that it is terrific that we have that many members listening and commenting. Remember, anyone can listen but only members can comment.

I have had:

38, 41, 229, and 40 ( that I have saved still) views;

and for comments in the same order-

16, 20, 15, 14

I just like hearing from people PERIOD. Reminds me that there are other adults in the world and that life does not revolve around SESAME STREET and LAZY TOWN LOL.

whoa I thought that when I had 229 view on that one that it was just people checking out the page! I didnt know they actually listened to the song!

Heather, you have it the same as me:) Hell, I am not afraid to admit, the ONLY REASON i sing and record, is ONLY so I can submit it here, and have some ADULT connection... (although... adult? You guys are scaring me:). Lol. I have dora the explorer coming out my ARSE, I like to have the occasional "hey:), you may be a stay at home mom, for the past 3 years, but there ARE people paying SOME attention to you, at least for the 3 minutes a song lasts:)

My biggest difference right now is 20 comments vs. 53 views.

Kinda makes you wonder....... I know I do.

I know the longer you leave a sub on, the more it changes. Before I took down Redneck Woman it had only like 16 comments, but the views had climbed to 90 something. But.... it had been subbed over a month. Makes you curious though when you don't know who's relistening.

Cool thread. WOW, Heather - 229 views. Girl, you sure it aint Nashville checking you out?? That's a mighty big number. Cool.

I also wish to participate!

It goes from 25 views from the latest sub to 55 which is a 3 weeks old sub. The best I ever got was 75 on the first time I subbed, All I Have To Do Is Dream!! I guess it's a popular song? :?:

To me, the amount of views means more than the amount of comments, not everyone wishes to leave a comment & I can understand, I do it quite often too!! :roll:

good point... so for everyone that visits, they're at least expressing an interest.

I have a lot of times had problems getting the songs to finish loading so they'll start. I've pm'ed Phill about it, but so far, I haven't gotten a response.

Maybe I SHOULD go to a cable modem rather than DSL. But you'd think that was fast enough!
