In sharing with my love of Karaoke, I also have passion for weddings. We do a lot of them and I thought I would share a little bit of last weekends with you (be sure to watch in HD) http://youtu.be/TOfijdnKRDM

Impressive, simpmech! reminds me of my mobile dj days. Similar set up + couple of big pull-up screen projection tvs on the sides. I bet that took you at least 2 hr set-up time. did a great job. First vid names of the couple on the wall “Shawn & Casey”. Was that from a Chauvet multi-gobo light system? |

@ Johnny, the place was huge! It was the National Guard Armory in Campbelsville Kentucky. I had 6000 watts flowing in that place (toned down and calibrated of course ) @ Brian, I can't wait to add the T.V.s to our set up. Probably another year before I am ready financially to add the set up I want. The gobo was actually the new ADJ ikon. It's extremely bright and did not even get lost when my Elation 5R's went over it with lighting. The distance was approximately 35-40 feet away from the wall where it was displayed to my truss where it was mounted. This was the first time I used this particular set up, meaning everything was controlled via DMX on my laptop. Tons of work prior to the event programing light scenes and then of course I had to program the lighting to spot the grand entrance, first dance and cake cutting. 20 up lights total along with the moving heads, ADJ wifly bars and mega go bars all on the truss. I set this one up completely solo and it was gruesome. I will have help next time but I wanted to make sure everything was laid out correctly and so on since it was the first time. 6 hours to set up and program then I had help to pack up...tear down and load time was 1 hour 40 min. ......exhausted ! |

ADJ ikon looks so impressive, lots of replaceable neat gobo patterns. No wonder it’s pricey @ $500. 2 hrs to set up & that’s with my wife helping me at the time. The most time consuming were the truss & duct taping audio/vid cables onto the floor. Then, make sure we have enough time to change to our formal attire before the guests start showing up. Stressful to say the least but you regain that much needed energy when the dancers filled the dance floor. More power to you, simpmech & thanks! |
