I was asked to sing a duet over the weekend of the Lady Antebellum song: "I Need You Now". Well, the splash screen comes up and it explains that the words for the female singer will be in pink. The male singer's words will be blue and the words for when both people sing together will be in red. The problem with the song, and many others from the same brand, is that all of the lyrics start out on the screen as WHITE and then change to the colors described on the splash screen. I thought the whole idea of using different colors for the lyrics was to give a heads up to the singers as to who will be singing and when. For this to happen, the 3 colors need to be on the screen before you sing the lyrics and then all of the lyrics can change to white as they are being sung. Quik Hits seems to be doing it (@$%&#!) backwards. I would avoid buying this brand for any song that is a duet unless no other karaoke brand carried the song. It's not that big of a deal for me to change the colors of the songs if they are discs that I own but when you go to a karaoke show and they don't let you know what brand they use; you can be in for an unpleasant surprise when singing a duet. Are there any other brands that give visual problems for the singer? I've never been a fan of the dark Blue letters on a Black Background either. They almost blend together for me; especially on an older style rear projection TV without high definition resolution.

I'm not sure who the manufacturer was, but I did a version of "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" last night, and the typeset was so thin I had trouble making it out with my aging eyes. Blue background, white super-skinny text.

And another problem is with the Pink and Red. Those colors are too close to each other, and if the KJs monitor isn't that good, one could have a problem telling if it's together or just the female's part.

Don't anyone faint here, but...( clearing throat noisily) I actually believe SC made some of the best duet discs in regard to graphics/color changes.

On the other hand, I prefer the sweeps with the parts printed in parentheses before the lines- less confusion.
