Have you noticed all the new members lately? I love it, but would it be possible to limit the amount of sub per user in the same day?
I enjoy listening to as many talented people, but when someone sub's 2-5 songs in the same day it pushes the others to next page & I'm afraid I'll loose some good performance!
Why not keep some for the next day? I think we should limit 2 song a day to all, this way, we can keep the new sub's on the first page for a longer time?
Hey, it's just a suggestion!

On the front page - there is a list of 50 submissions.
Currently we are having about 35-40 submissions perday. Wow!
There is a limit on the amount of submissions per day.
Standard Members - 1 per day up to 3MB max 5 songs archived - FREE!
Plus Members - 2 per day up to 4MB max 10 songs archived - $5 p/m
Deluxe Members - 5 per day up to 5MB max 25 songs archived - $10 p/m
Premium Members - 10 per day up to 7MB max 40 songs archived - $20 p/m
People are paying for the additional submission alotment. The most I have seen on a regular day (If there is such a thing) is only 3-4 submissions per member.

Ok, how about another suggestion...would it be possible to make the page hold more submissions? Maybe 60 instead of 50? Of course, then maybe people would sub even more!!

sorry micky can i be really mean...i am a new member but paid straight away for the privalige of being able to sub more than 1 song a day...with the newbie peeps i think its a bit of excitement also at being able to sub old recordings i know that's the case for myself...and yes i am guilty at subbing 2 songs per day ... when i run out of songs then it will probably be 1 or 2 a week...sorry micky just being honest ... its not just the new members posting more than 1 song older members i have saw post as many as 4

I'm definitely a paying member...but I rarely sub more than 1 song per day, I simply don't have the time to record more than that...
I'd happily for-go some of the submissions allowed per day, in lieu of more MGs per songs...is that something we can talk about? If not, I'll keep wishing....

Emma

No need to be sorry I guess you're right, when you pay for something why not use it!
I don't see the need to sub more in my case, who would be interrested to listen to me 4 times in the same day?
I agree with Emma's suggestion, this way I could sub the full version of Stay Away To Heaven or Suite Madame Blue
I just felt like the first page was flying & I don't always have the chance to hear everything and because the site IS SO SLOW it makes it harder to go to the next page

Emma And Micky:
I'm with you 100%. Down with 3, 4 or 5 songs a day(WHICH MAKES NO SENSE TO ME) and up with more MB's per song.
QUALITY BEATS QUANTITY HANDS DOWN EVERYTIME.
Have you all ever heard the term "BURNED OUT" in show business? That happens when an artist over saturates his/her field of exposure.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention that I posted one song last night and tonight is already out of the first page. Only one day and bye, bye. I don't think the answer is posting more songs. That only creates a heavier listening burden on everybody and I don't think that's fair.

I will send an email to all paying members of the Singer's Showcase to get their feedback on reducing the amount of songs submitted in a day to 2 across the board.
The file upload size is pretty much set. The amount of storage is also set - total songs archived.
However, I will investigate & review to see what I can do.
Also, the main page should be loading a bit faster now. I removed many of the script features (for now) let me know if you notice an increased loading time.
Further, I am moving this topic to the Singer's Forum.

re: the loading speed of the page
In the words of Eric Cartman -- 'Hella fast!'
Thanks Phil... now if I could just finish unpacking so I can do some recording!

Theres a bunch of us on page two.Im doing my best to keep up with the listens,,and Im having a real hard time doing it.Im baffled by how quickly the page is moving. It will certainly make my submissions far a few in between. .Even so...Ill do my best..to find you guys...........even if it is on page two. Maybe we should all hold hands,So's we can find each other? ok...who's all in for holding hands? *holds out hand, and waits*

I'm in, just holding your hand!!
I'm also going to space my sub now, not more than two a day and maybe take a day or two for a break!
This way I could listen to new members

There's my hand...
In recording terms there's a saying that states, "LESS IS BETTER." It is used for the way equalization should be applied. I believe that there are more pros than cons from submitting less songs. Considering the amount of members trying to get their voices and talent heard, I feel it is kind of inconsiderate to burden the listeners with more than 2 songs a day.
Why do some do it Well, the answer is simple. Because it is there
Now, that doesn't mean it is fair to others. Or is it
It is tough to sub a song with great sentimental value just to see it gone from the limelight in just one day.
In my case I limit my subs to 2 or 3 per WEEK,mostly because of the things I described before. I am allowed to post 5 a day but I truly believe that doing it would only work against each of my subs posted and I don't want for my friends to get bored with my work. That way I can also spend more time listening and learning.
Peace to all.

I'm with Tonmay on this. Myself, 2 maybe 3 a week, and honestly, if I see 5 songs in a row by the same member, I listen to 1 and get on with the others. Nothing personal, but due to a time limitation.

I haveta" admit that I've been guilty of sub'ing 2 or 3 songs pretty close to one another more than once , It seems that I'm away far too many hours during the week (13 -16 hrs..plus 2-3 hrs travel time each day ,Monday thru' Thursday) So when Friday rolls around and i get some time to record... I just zone out on my books and kinda go on a singing frenzy I do realise the number of new members makes it difficult to listen to , let alone comment on all the great works of art that everyone is so kind to share with the rest of us. so Ima try n' tone it down a bit...sorry y'all!

Since I'm only allowed to sub once a day there has only been once or twice that I had wished I could sub more than once. That time I subbed right after midnight (where the server was located) and had to wait until the next day to post my second song I was trying to get put up.
I understand trying to record as much as possible in the time you have but posting so many all at once is overwhelming to some. Guess I should start listening again and get some recordings subbed again! Stupid cold....grrr....

Denndogg...
I'm a bit stressed for recording time too these days...and find myself with only weekends to record....I go into recording frenzy then!
However, I try not sub more than 2 -3 times a week...even tho, like Tony, I can sub 5 per day
Phill...if I subbed my 5 songs per day...that's like 25mgs a day....can't we talk about all those MGS I'm NOT using??? I really would be happy with 7mgs a day...1 song a day limit. The way I figure it, I like the archive amount MORE than the sub amount per day of the plan I signed up for.....Yeah Yeah...I know...I'm nagging...I'll shut up now
/HUGS,
Emma
