With 840 pages of posts, I'm sure there has been a previous attempt to do this, but I am doing it for my own edification. I remember when it was only DK, Pocket Songs, & Nikkodo in the market. At this point, I'm trying to establish the companies that are still alive & kicking (AND legitimate) in today's market. I am honestly frustrated by these fly-by-night companies that are either dredging up the bones of defunct companies or simply throwing inferior renditions out for a quick buck. Here are the legit CDG manufacturers (I believe) that are still in business: All Star Chartbuster Party Tyme Pocket Songs Radio Starz Sound Choice Sunfly Zoom I would appreciate any feedback. |

Good luck with what you're doing. I just finished a massive database of karaoke music in the last week or so. Took me way longer than expected (6 months longer). But, I felt accuracy was important. Edit: And it's for sale. $50K and its yours. |

I already have an excellent database for tracks, but I think its important to record the history of Karaoke. By the time the general public finds it worthwhile to read it will have become lost in conjecture and fuzzy memories. |

Unfortunately digital is where it's going. |
