What are your experiences with the Starmaker karaoke brand? I haven't really used it but it reminds of DK in many way due to lyric swipe style, saxophone playing the melody along with the swipe and the fact that many of their songs are in the wrong key. Music itself isn't as good quality as DK. Newer starmaker tracks have better quality music, no sax and graphics that are very similar to MasterMix.

Agree with op. Made in uk if I’m not mistaken. Bought one years ago, vol #10 for one track, B.Spears “My Prerogative”. Ughhh! Coaster.

There are some 800 Starmaker tracks are on CustomBurn and a couple hundred on Select-a-track too.
I was first drawn attention to them because they appear to be the only karaoke company to have put out the Frankie Laine version of Rawhide. Bad points about that are the sax melody and incorrect key signature. I wasn't bowled over by the sound quality either, but I guess it would sound a lot better at a live gig (I once sang the MM version of The Animals' "Don't bring me down" at pub karaoke and although the track quality sound piss poor on my computer, it sounded good through the KJ's system).
