As sung by people you have heard at either your own gig or others. I'll kick it off seeing as I've started this.

1. Deadwood Stage - I just love this !!!!
2. Tell Me Ma - Close second
3. Dancing Party - A real floor filler.

All three, in case you have never heard of them, are up tempo tunes and get everyone going. The first two are sung by the same lady.

If the singers are good...
And excluding Local songs which you wouldn't know internationally.

1)Tom Jones/ Its not unusual
2)Ricky Martin/ Livin La Vida Loca
3)Elvis/ American Trilogy

I hope it doesn't matter if i also enjoy singing these songs, i know my audience appreciates anybody who sings them.

At the risk of going sideways with no intention to derail the topic (still relevant to the thread) - but what are your favorite songs to sing that will get the crowd amped-up & get them on the dancefloor? My favs when I visit other karaoke places.

Play that funky music – Wild Cherry
SuperFreak –Rick James
T-r-o-u-b-l-e – Travis Tritt
Be my baby tonight – John M. Montgomery
Mustang Sally – Wilson Picket
Sexyback – JTimberlake
Mambo #5 – Lou Bega
Hey ya! - Outkast

What amuses me to no end is how the same people who scream about pirates not following the "rules" are the same ones that can't follow a simple instruction like....THREE songs!!!!

Oh that's right! The rules only apply to everyone else.

Thanks for reminding me Bruce (and now I know where your name came from), if I think the room needs pumped up, my 3 faves to sing are Mama Let Him Play, 867-5309/Jenny, and soon to be sang by me - Turn Up the Radio!

But that's the point. We could ALL go on and on and keep naming songs all day....but when someone asks you for THREE; THEY WANT THREE!!! If they want 5 or 6; they would have asked for 5 or 6.

Just like the people that are told that it's OKAY to copy your discs as long as you stay ONE to ONE, but they go ahead and make multiple copies anyway. If you're gonna be a stickler about some rules; you should be as picky about them all.

No means No and Three means Three.
