Post subject:  An Open Apology

Hello everyone,
I just had lunch with my Mother, who occasionally visits this site to listen to all the great singers! She really LOVES Billy! (his singing, of course!)

She scolded me for being, what she referred to as, OVERLY FLIRTATIOUS!! LOL! I didn't think that I was really all that bad but if Mom thinks so, I guess I'd better listen! LOL!

It did make me think though. If Mom thought this, perhaps others have felt the same way. soooo.....

If I have offended anyone in any way, I apologige!! I guess I am a bit flirtatious from time to time but believe me, my bark is much worse than my bite!! LOL!! I guess I do have a tendency to go a bit over board at times. I will make a concerted effort to rein that in!

Once again, If I have offended ANYONE, I'm truly sorry!

Steve

I am so glad that other people share my pain and uncomfortable feelings every time I see Steven Monen on this website. That last naked pic he send me holding his hat in a strategic place kinda offended me! You think I can't handle the truth?

Let me quote something buddy, I might be far from home, but
The truth is a dangerous thing. In the old world, the harbringer of bad news could be put to death. Even today, people don't want to know the truth. In the words of one movie character played by Jack Nicholson: "The truth? You can't handle the truth."

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
Main Entry: Flirt
Pronunciation: 'fl&rt
Function: verb
Etymology: origin unknown
transitive senses
1 : FLICK
2 : to move in a jerky manner
intransitive senses
1 : to move erratically : FLIT
2 a : to behave amorously without serious intent b : to show superficial or casual interest or liking <flirted with the idea>; also : EXPERIMENT <a novelist flirting with poetry>
3 : to come close to -- used with with <the temperature flirted with 100°>

Phil, don't be so sensitive! As you can see, Steve behaves amorously without serious intent

I guess you left yourself wide open to that.

There's nothing wrong with a little flirting as long as no one takes it seriously. It's obvious that it's just part of your personality. I doubt you could stop if you tried. It is a charming quality to have, if it's not abused.
My husband gets flirted with all the time, even with me standing right there. Its kind of funny to watch because he flirts back in an unobvious way (although he says he doesn't think any one was flirting....they were just being nice) I can't blame someone for wanting to flirt with him. He's dead sexy and when you throw in that accent.......well I don't have to tell you do I Steve  I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can keep flirting with AllStar I don't mind. I'm secure enough in our relationship to handle it :swg:

Oh NO! Not Wannabe to!! LOL!!! Yes, your right, I DID leave myself wide open that time!! LOL! I was just telling my wife, last night, The same EXACT thing! That I left myself wide open!!! She said, that doesn't surprise me! LOL!!!

She told me that I've been an incurable flirt the entire 28 years we've been together! I told her I've never thought I was! She said, YOU WOULDN'T!! LOL! (I honestly never thought I was that bad)

I sure did like your response though, Wannabe! All except for the part about flirting with Allstar, I mean!! LOL! Although, if I was back in my drinkin days, I think I'd have liked to tip a few with Ol Allstar!!

Allstar, you beter hold on to that lady!!!

.: NOTE to Steve's MOM :.

Just in case you read this, please understand, some people on this board are joking around, me for instance. I of course, can't speak for everyone, but I believe this is all in jest.

Steven opened himself up to this kind of abuse.

Seriously, a little flirtation is okay. As "wannabe" stated above.

Steven, I hope that obsolves you of any "curious thoughts," Mom may have about you. I have found you to be another fun assest to the site and fit right in with the rest of us "loons" (Not that I am calling anyone besides myself a loon!) Thanks for being a contributing member., especially one with a good sense of humor!

Hi Steve's Mom! Thanks so much for letting come out to play with us. We REALLY enjoy him...his witt and his singing.

Seems to me the more artistically gifted someone is the more 'looney' they behave. Steve is VERY, VERY gifted ;)

Steve - Love ya Man!!!

If you call trying to be charming flirting, then I'm guilty of this. My husband reads all comments to and from me and nothing's botherered him. Unless you're getting downright randy, I don't see anything wrong with it. Of the people that have flirted with me, no one's stepped over the line. I think everyone here is decent and if that weren't the case, I wouldn't be a part of this. It's all in fun.

So, Steven's mom, don't worry, he's just being his charming self, he can't help it!!

Now this is to Mrs Monen. Don't listen to all this Bla, Bla, Bla
Take it from me  Steve's a cool guy with a couple of screws missing, but that's what makes him a perfect fit to this forum.

As to YOU Steve..................Allstar, you beter hold on to that lady!!! No other women can make me stray, so your chances with me are pretty low!

You're a good friend, and even though Old Paint said
Quote:
Steve - Love ya Man!!!
I might think it in a weak moment, but you'll never hear me saying those words! :rotflmao:

Oh Luly

He's not back yet...I'm still singing the blues. He just gets to spend very little time on the computer and then he has to use dial up in the hotel. He's workig way too hard. Maybe you can tell him for me that he needs to take time to have dinner at least once in a while......He doesn't listen to me. I guess nagging doesn't work as well online. I think it's all in the tone of your voice or something.

Ohhh, sorry to hear that, wannabe. Guess work has to come before play. Maybe next time you can go with him. It's too hard to be away from each other!! In our 6 years being married, me and my hubby have only been 1 week apart and that week was pure torture!! So, I can certainly relate.

Here's to Allstar finishing up what he's doing QUICK and reuniting with you!! Hope you're reading Tony!! We're gonna nag you to death!!! :argue:
