Maybe I can get some answers:

Some years ago I sang a version of American Trilogy that I liked a lot. I neglected to note the label and have been trying the song at every place I go to find THAT version again. Finally found it last night. It was Chartbuster. Problem is that the one I sang is from an Essential pack.

I looked for other CB disks with that song (I don't want to buy a CBE pack unless I have to). I found three others as follows:

CBK80014 Chartbuster Karaoke, Patriotic - Contemporary V2
CBK9062 Chartbuster Karaoke, Elvis Live
CBM2357 Chartbuster Hot Hits, Patriotic V6

Does anyone know if they are all the same arrangements? I could ask Chartbuster, but I would rather hear it from the "front lines".

Norm

If it's within the same company, it is rare that they would do a different recording/arrangement. I would give 1:1 odds it is the same.

Like Lonnie said, same company, probably same song, but if you want to check it out try karaoke.com (they advertise on this site) and look up the disk numbers in question. Most of them have sound clips you can listen to. They may be long enough for you to tell. Don't be afraid to go to the chartbuster web site also. Though I've never dealt with them directly, they seem to be a consumer oriented company.

yes, my one singer who does trilogy LOVES THE CB450 version

My suggestion: call chartbuster and ask... if they say no, ask if there is any possible way to either buy that disc only from the es450 pack or have a custom CDG made of just that song

I do an Elvis impersonation, and the Chartbuster is the best. also all the chartbusters I have (7) are all exactly the same time. I have sang to most and all I have tried are the same. I Like the cba-90062 it is the live artist series. also to anyone interested, they have just re-released the aloha from Hawaii dvd with new songs never released at www.elvis.com.

We use both the KJT Elvis songs and Music Maestro's Velvet Elvis Serires for our tribute shows.

I've sung American Trilogy about 100 times and from all versions. The one with the best timing is the Music Maestro version.
