I was looking through songs I flagged for email alert when they get made and noticed two were in blue letters. What does that mean?

Means you flagged/voted for the songs to be made and if they are you will be notified by email that they are produced. I am wondering if it would be worth stickying a thread dedicated to KV requests. Everyone that puts a request up, everyone votes for & the same for their songs - what'chall think????? Let's get some stuff put out!!!!!

karaoke version makes some great backing tracks in a wide variety of musical genre's. I've bought quite a few of them now and I've been very pleased. Some of their singers who do the demo versions are pretty hard to understand sometimes but it's kind of funny to listen to the heavy accents on some of the songs. The guy who did the Tom Jones and Neil Diamond medleys is hysterical to listen to. If you want a song from GLEE that is theplace to look. They seem to make everything and anything from that show but I can't seem to get any Springsteen songs made. ;c(

You know, it must be a licensing issue or something. They finally did make Bad Company by Five Finger Death Punch, but only the instrumental; not the karaoke version.

They usually make the instrumental first and then wait and see if a lot of people request the CDG version. I'm usually satisfied with the instrumental version since I enjoy making my own CDG files.

So you vote for the karaoke version. They do the instrumentals first. When you get to that page it will tell you either also available in a karaoke version or vote for the karaoke version.

It's exactly a licensing issue. Audio only can get a compulsory license - pay the fee for the number of copies you want to distribute and you're good to go.

Karaoke is an audio-visual product just like a movie or a video, and requires them to negotiate extra licensing at higher costs.

They want to make sure there's an actual demand before they do the more expensive version.

I have purchased two hard to find songs from these guys. They sound pretty good. I did have to make my own graphics but its not hard to do.

I've been mostly pleased with KV, and have only ever received one "dud" from them... that being their Stars On .45 Beatles medley... Simply awful. However, they sent a credit for another track to replace it.

I still have three or four requests in to them ... some Johnny Reid, and Keith Whitley... and am on their email alert list, but nothing heard so far.
